Is free-agent Lord Bendtner set to be Arsenal’s new striker?

Nicholas Bendtner set for Arsenal return?

You may have woken up this morning to see that former Arsenal striker Nicholas Bendtner has been training with his ex teammate Kieran Gibbs ahead of the upcoming season.

The pair have been working on their fitness alongside each other, as well as Leicester’s Danny Simpson. Simpson and Gibbs are training hard ready to be fit for the upcoming pre-season and Gibbs needs to have some major rise in form and ability if he is to displace Arsenal’s Mr Consistent, Nacho Monreal. Bendtner on the other hand is completely without a club, a free agent, after being released last season from Wolfsburg, a year before his contract was due to end.

Bendtner, who is nicknamed ‘Lord’ by football fans across the world, hasn’t had the brightest of careers and it seems to have spiralled out of control even further since he left Arsenal. However considering he is a free agent, is Wenger eyeing him up as a possible new striker? We need one Arsene!!

I am of course joking and this is not a serious rumour because even the thought of seeing old Nicky B pulling on an Arsenal shirt and walking out at the Emirates is a frightening sight. I for one am still annoyed Wenger chose him over Carlos Vela!

  1. If France continuing playing OG up front, Mark my word, I say if the will stick with Mr. Hold up play they should forget about wining this troph.

    1. He’s actually useful for them. One smart heading assist to Griezmann then France through to quarter final.

  2. I bet Admin is among people who come up with such rumors “Arsenal are targeting Marco Reus, David Alaba, N’Golo Kanté, Aymeric Laporte & Aubameyang in a £250m splash. (Source: Daily Star)”

  3. Bendtner must come back.
    He is the natural
    successor to Giroud.
Like Flamini he is a free agent
    He is home grown too.
Just imagine Sanogo and Bendtner the duel destroyers up front.
Wenger always says “they all come back to Arsenal”.
Djourou is on his way back to replace Mertesacker
while Eboue is being lined up to replace Debuchy
and Denilson will return to replace Cazorla.
    Just like old times again.

  4. If AW didn’t sign Xhaka in flash, I might believe this BS rumor. The Lord might just inspect his property here. Seeking the prospect to sell it due to his financial unemployment financial situation. Such a poor fella. Look what Wolfburg have done to the ex “best striker in the world”. LOL!!!
