It’s not ALL bad Arsenal – Ramsey ONE week from training!!

Every time anyone with any interest in Arsenal Football Club hears or sees the word injury at the moment, a cold finger of dread creeps up and down your spine, but after the bad news about Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny this week, Arsene Wenger finally had some good injury news for us.

As the Frenchman gave an update on various players in an Arsenal.com report, including the latest on our German midfielder, he revealed that the club’s best player of last season, Aaron Ramsey, is due back in training a week from now. And as Rambo has only been out of action since the north London derby on September 27th, it will not take him long to be ready to play.

Wenger said, “When he arrived with the German national team, they didn’t think it was a lot at the start. He was supposed to practice on Wednesday but, in the end, he said that wasn’t possible for him.

“Then he had a scan and it was bad news. We have our own specialist giving us his opinion after reading the scan and examining Mesut. We will follow our own recommendations.”

“Theo is not too far away now. Serge has been out for a long, long time and Theo has also been out for nine months, so it’s good to see them back. They’ve worked very hard and they’re very dedicated. They are back in the group on a daily basis and that’s very good news.

“For Ramsey it’s day 13 today and I think it will be day 21 before he is back into training. Arteta may be back with the group late next week.”

That really is great news for Arsenal, as is the news that our flying England international Theo Walcott and the dynamic young German winger Serge Gnabry are already back in full training after lengthy spells on the sidelines for both of them. Throw those two into the squad along with the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez and the Gunners could well be the quickest team in the Premier League.

With a good run of very winnable fixtures just around the corner and these players returning from the treatment room, can Arsenal really get the season going at full speed now?

  1. I’m more worried about koscielny. Hope his injury isn’t long term. But one player I really don’t want to be injured is Sanchez. May god have mercy on our souls.

    1. Now some of u will agree with me that our medical team has improved(since shad came in)… Ramsey was suppose to be out for 6weeks, buh they have worked hard to get his recovery quicker than possible…
I’m also hoping Ozil doesn’t stay out for so long as well…

  2. Throw those two into the squad along with the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez and the Gunners could well be the quickest team in the Premier League.

That only applies if Wenger allows them to run and shoot but how many times have we seen players make a run and even with a chance on goal slow down and wait for more players (and opposition defenders) to catch up and the attack fizzles out.

We have some super fast players so stop making them tikka takka and let them run at goal Wenger!

  3. Yeah…it will be good to have Ramsey back as well as Walcott soon.

Had to take an absence, you know how we get on this site after we lose….and that Chelsea loss, improvement and all, still hurt.

Anyway…I’d like to see Diaby play vs hull…

    ………………Welbeck……………
    Sanchez…………………Ox
    …………….Cazorla…………
    ….Wilshire……….Diaby
    Gibbs…Kos?….Mert….Chambers
    ………………Scz……………..

I hope after the international break we see pics of Walcott back in training……

  4. Diaby is also injured not sure how as he has not played for a few weeks really is time for him to pack up! Maybe that’s why Wenger wants khedira so it will be a like for like replacement Ha Ha!!!

    1. Diaby is not injured. He is not match fit and we want to apply a very cautious approach with him due to his injury record. And he will need to impress Wenger enough in training to claim the DM spot over a specialist in that position like Flamini. No team in EPL can be easily walkover (remember Leicester City) – we need to play our best team possible,

      1. Diaby is injured he had another set back in training but the extent of the injury has not been revealed if you look at it he played 90 mins a couple of weeks back he should at least of made the bench in the games since but been no sight of him so he has def got another injury problem!

  5. Because of our injury list. Wenger must sacrifice Champions league this season.
He needs to concentrate in PL only as Top 4 is a must.
Diaby and other squad players must play in CL and FA cup. Best players shoud play in PL.
Wenger needs to be very cautious with our defence and injury prone players like Ramsey and jack.
We can push on in PL if we only play our best 11 once a week.
My first Pl team would be
    Schezzny
    Chambers Mert Kos Gibbs
    Flamminy Ramsey
    OX Cazorla Sanchezz
    Welbeck

    For CL
    Schezzny
Bellarin Mert Hayden Monreal ( as Koschiley me is injury prone–already injured so left him)
    Arteta/Diaby Jack
Walcott Rosisky Poldi ( Walcott would be just back..So removing him form the vigour of PL)
Sonogo ( Not sure if he is fit or not)
Same team for Fa cup…May be to give Cambell and upcoming Ganarby a chance
