Iwobi’s amazing skill and Monreal’s delight on first goal for Spain (videos)

Alex Iwobi has certainly made an impact since being promoted to the Arsenal first team, and it is obvious that his confidence has also gone through the roof.

He helped Nigeria beat their closest rivals, Algeria, for the World Cup Qualifying spot last night, but all the focus was on this lovely bit of footwork. Watch and be amazed!

Nacho Monreal was also a happy bunny after being recalled to the Spain national side and scoriing against Macedonia as well. “What more could I want?” he said after the match.

“We’re very happy for the victory,”

“We had to win. It’s my first goal for the national team, so I’m twice as happy.

“The entire team had a good match, not just the defenders. We had the initiative. We didn’t suffer at all, just a little at first.

“I went two years without being in the national team, the new Coach has given me the opportunity and I’m very happy. What more could I want?”

Here is his goal….

It’s about time that we had some good news for our players from the international break, since most of the focus has so far been on the injuries to Bellerin and Alexis.

Well done you Gunners!

  1. Break-on-through

Arsene tried to bring Ozil’s mate over from Madrid but ended up getting a fellow country man in the end. Mustafi and Ozil are said to be close. I think we should try for a Chilean national. Does anyone know of a star in the making over there or a friend of Alexis’s who could do ok. Vidal would have been great and Alexis probably would’ve signed.

Yeah Ozil and Mustafi have a lot in common (both German, both Muslim, both on the World Cup winning side)
I think Xhaka and Mustafi are close too because both have Albanian roots

      Vidal would have been awesome
Only players I can think of are Aranguiz, Medel, Diaz and Vargas, but they are average players
Bravo plays for City now, but we don’t need a GK anyway

Chile has 2 WC players: Alexis and Vidal but that is 2 more WC players than England has lol
