Jack back to relive Arsenal glory against Barcelona?

It was one of the defining moments in the early football career of the Arsenal and England international midfielder Jack Wilshere, so it would be a fitting time for the unlucky star to return from his latest injury problem if he could make it back in time for the second leg of our Champions League knockout tie with Barcelona.

And it could happen as The Sun reports that the player suggested as much in comments made before Arsenal took on Hull City in the FA cup.

Wilshere said, “I’m running. It gets harder and harder to get back into the Premier League.

“I think with me, all of my injuries have been impact injuries. My first was an ankle injury which took a while to heal so I think it’s just the way I play.

“I think this is probably the best group of players in terms of personalities and I think that’s important. [Back for the Barcelona game?] Maybe… three weeks. I hope so. Maybe.”

Jack really has had some rotten luck and will surely be desperate to get back on to the pitch and resume his much interrupted playing career. At least the fact that his injury problems have been impact issues suggests that he is unlucky rather than injury prone but that will only help him if his luck changes.

Arsenal could certainly do with a fit Wilshere for the rest of this hard fought Premier League title race. That will obviously inspire the 24-year old and he has the added incentive of a place in the England team for the Euro 2016 tournament this summer to drive him on as well.

Jack went on, “That’s what keeps you going.

“When you’re in the gym, it’s hard work. Seeing the other boys going training and enjoying it – it’s tough.

“Knowing that I set myself a target of going to the Euros and getting back to help the lads win the Premier League – that’s what keeps you going.”

The England star also has those great memories of beating Barcelona and his own amazing performance against them to inspire him. And if you think that he would not be in the right sort of form to face them, don´t forget that the last two seasons have seen Wilshere come back from injury right at the end and then score amazing goals which have won the goal of the season awards for two years in a row.

Do you think Wilshere will play against Barcelona in just over three weeks? And will his comeback have a big impact on the rest of our season?

Oh…. So now it’s Jack’s turn to be our saviour! ?
I hope that he is wearing his Superman pyjamas under his kit? ?… Cos, we’re gonna need something extraordinary to knock Barcelona out!.. How about a 6 litre capacity engine under Jack’s Wheelchair, so he can run over Messi and Co?
Timmy Timmy style from South Park ???

It seems as if that storm didn’t clear, after all ,We were just in the eye of it… hold on to your hats, it’s about to get messi!!

  2. I said before Wellbeck
    returned that even if
he only plays 5/6 games he
    might score 3 crucial goals.
Sure enough he scored the winner v Leicester.
Wilshere is the same even if only plays 6/7 times
he might score or assist in 4/5 crucial games like
Spurs Westham City Utd and Everton.

    1. Well done Davidn???
Your Medal is in the post ??

When we put a reserve goalkeeper into the record books for the most ‘saves’ against us ( 11 )….
There’s nothing to be cheerful about mate!

We make average player’s/teams look Good with our inconsistency/incompetence…. This needs to stop!

    1. Well it is a nightmare for any team. Those front 3 are just too scary. Let’s just sit back and enjoy a good game.

  3. Barcelona are just as worried about facing Arsenal in London. We can play without pressure but they are expected to win.
