Jack Wilshere gives Arsenal ANOTHER injury boost

Arsenal Handed Big Boost As Wilshere Nears return! by AT

Following the return of Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil from injury, the Arsenal midfield has gotten a further boost from the treatment table as Jack Wilshere is said to be significantly ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from an ankle injury he suffered during the Gunners’ 2-1 loss to Manchester United at the Emirates.

The Englishman, who was expected to be out till the end of March, has progressed remarkably well in his recovery and is now expected to be back as early as the end of February. The Arsenal boss also confirmed the news from the Mirror by stating: “Jack is progressing quicker than expected – he could be back by the end of February.”

With the Gunners qualifying for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as well as the fourth round of the FA Cup, squad depth will be vital and it certainly is welcome news to hear that Jack will be available so much sooner than expected, even more so considering that Ramsey and Ozil have already returned to first-team training.

As Wenger slowly begins to have almost a full squad available to him for selection, the challenge I believe for the Frenchman and his backroom staff will be to keep the casualties at a minimum as the side goes into the crucial second half of the campaign. In all honesty, long-term injuries to key players have had a lot to do with Arsenal’s mediocre first half of the campaign.

At long last, the squad has all it’s defenders fit and ready for action whilst the midfield only has two casualties in Wilshere and Arteta. Up front, Danny Welbeck is nursing a short-term problem and will be available shortly. With the treatment room slowly getting empty, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can keep the key players fit and start picking up results consistently.

  1. More good news. Just need a cb and dm now. We can all dream… Either way, I expect we’ll find out at the END of the month. Its the Wenger way.

  2. good news…

Wilshere Carzola, Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsay and Giroud will all get to play together in 1 team….

  3. You missed DRB being injured.
You say Arsenal need “Key players fit .
& to be picking up results consistently”.
Wilshere does not fit that description.
He is so often injured and rarely helps us win.
No disrespect to Jack but for mine
he has become more of a liability than an asset.
He also is contracted till 2017.
Hope he does recover fully and is an asset in
the future but I would not put money on it.

  4. This is one of the best news in a while. Could we say that the german team physio is doing a good job of making our players return earlier than scheduled from their injuries? Let’s see what wenger can do with this team ftom this period forward. A very strong and technically DM is a must for this team to do exceptionally well. City and chelsea are not only technically sound in some matches they bully there way to get results. COYG let’s get the needed 3points today and move closer to the top. Definitely man utd or s/hamptn will drop points today.

    1. Since last season Wilshere, Ozil and Cazorla have been under performers. Santi has stepped up again coz he feels like the main midfielder again.

  5. I know Wilshere is too mouthy and irritating sometimes, but the amount of hate he gets is unbelievable. It’s just a bit funny and embarrassing that he is now the reason we lose. It was Giroud for the past few seasons now it’s Wilshere..

I can name a few midfielders that were crucial in us winning the FA cup and Charity shield and Wilshere was one if them. He has not pushed on due to being in and out of the team for long periods due to his recurring injuries. But he has taken on or is now sharing the Scapegoat tag with Giroud now..

    Smh

  6. I smell lies and bullshit. Why are we getting this news now???This is probably a way of wenger saying “see,I dont need to side new dmf coz wilshere will be back soon”..Am I the only one who isn’t easily fooled by Wenger’s antics.Come on people, the man is a pathological liar
