Jack Wilshere says he’s returning to Arsenal at end of season

There has been much speculation about whether Jack Wilshere would ever be back at Arsenal, considering that this summer he will only have one year left on his contract. But Arsene Wenger recently said that it is imperative that the Gunners keep the “British Core” together, and now Wilshere himself has said he will be back with us at the end of the season.

“It hurts me to see Arsenal faltering,” Jack told Sky Sports News. “[Wenger] has always been great for me. He put me in at a young age which you don’t see a lot at top clubs with all the pressure for trophies.

“He stuck with me and showed faith in me. So for me he’s great and I can’t imagine Arsenal without him. He has been great for me and that’s all I can say. Sometimes a manager can only do so much, as in prepare a team and then the team have to go out there and perform.

“Again all I can say is that he has been great for me. I’ve been away for a year so I don’t know what’s happening there, in the dressing room or what training has been like. All I can do is help Bournemouth then go back at the end of the season.”

So I wonder if Wenger fully expects to persuade Jack to sign a new contract during the transfer window, along with The Ox and Kieran Gibbs as well, as all of those are due for contract talks imminently.

If Wenger stays he could be in for a very busy summer!

  1. ” I can’t imagine Arsenal without him”. Hey Wheelchair when Mr. Arsene is out I will volunteer to give you a push out of my dear club.

I have watched him a couple of times in Bournemouth, no improvement, no maturity. Still the same Jack the lad. Injuring prone, over hyped Brit.

    1. But what makes our players reach sometime and stall? Jack should be the same as alcantara. Is it pressure of having no shield? Where is that boy who once gave iniesta and xavi a torrid night out in London? I hope he gets more chance and we see if his head and legs can obey his heart. Keep faith all machine guns
