Arsenal boss issues HANDS OFF Wilshere warning to BPL rivals

Arsene Wenger may have come through the really hard years when Arsenal could not even afford to compete with the likes of Newcastle United in terms of transfer spending, never mind the clubs with mega rich sugar daddies throwing multi millions around, but we still expect to be significantly out-spent by Manchester United and Manchester Vity this summer, and probably by Chelsea and Liverpool as well.

But while this may not have changed all that much we are at least able to sign the kind of top quality players that should improve the first team and not just the squad. What has changed even more is that the Frenchman is no longer forced to lose his best players to direct rivals in the Premier League and that is exactly what he explained to Man City today.

The boss was asked about the recent Arsenal transfer rumours suggesting that our England midfielder was one of the players being targeted by Man City as they plan a big summer revamp to their aging squad. And as reported by the Daily Mail, Wenger was totally dismissive of their chances of getting their hands on our Gunner.

He said, “You can imagine my answer, we are not in a position where we have to sell our best players.”

Arsenal seem to have learned a valuable lesson and have made sure that our players have long contracts and are relatively untouchable unless we decide to sell. Now it looks like Liverpool may be faced with the same trouble we used to have, highlighted by the Raheem Sterling saga and the fact that Henderson is about to enter the last year of his deal. Maybe Man City should forget about Jack and go for Jordan instead.

  1. Finally Arsene and Arsenal have grown a backbone! Who knows what will happen now just sign is Reus and we will be happy happy gooners:D

  2. If Man City just need a couple of
English players for the home grown
    quota why not just promote
2-3 kids from their academy and
have them sit on the bench all season?
A lot cheaper than paying 30 mill
    and 140 k p/w for Wilshere
who will likely be injured most of the season.
Is there a quota requirement with regards number
of games home grown players must play?

    1. Agreed and academy kids might be better than Jack already.

It is no coincidence our great run of form has coincided with his absence.

  3. What makes Wilsher special is that besides him being our players he is an Arsenal fan himself. Now that the competition is high he needs to concentrade on a pozition where he can develope into a better players then he is already. Wenger needs to work with him more and take a lesson from Coquelin. Play players where they want to play, simple as that. Up the Arsenal.

  4. Wilshire is where RUMBO was many year ago!!!! We must to keep faith even though he is not top top top at the moments. THINGS CHANGE!!!

  5. Let walcott leave! We dont need him. 100% Ox will step up. At the moment there isnt anyplace for both ox and walcott. Let walcott leave. Dont Forget we have Joel cambell who is perfect replacement. No We dont need sterling to!
