Kane puts pressure on his own Tottenham team by saying They NEED to beat Arsenal

There is nothing like a bit of confidence going into a game, and I know that most Arsenal fans are desperate to see the Gunners take all three points tomorrow, but to hear a Spurs stalwart say that they are going to give up on the title if they fail to beat us at the Emirates is like music to my ears, especially as Kane used to be an Arsenal reject!

“It’s important for us to start beating the big teams away,” Kane said to Thierry Henry on Sky Sports. “Not just Arsenal, but all of the top six.”

“We’ve done very well at home against them in recent years, but if we want to be challenging for the title, these are the games we need to win away from home.

“We’re going to try and win the game, we always do, but it will be tough.

“We need to go and play the way we play against them at home, and find a way to win.”

So basically he is saying that an Arsenal win will destroy the Spuds title hopes, not that really have much chance against Man City anyway, but you can’t get more pressure than that can you?

To be honest maybe a lot of fans would agree that a Spurs win would also knock Arsenal’s chances of winning the title out the window, but surely one of our players wouldn’t say that in public would they?

  1. To mention in your first sentence that Harry Kane is an Arsenal reject and Spurs will be giving up on the title if they lose just shows how the once proud Arsenal fans have fallen, and it is quite sad.

The fact Arsenal rejected him tells a story. Why invest in players like Ozil and Sanchez who have no allegiance, just to keep the fans happy. I bet you would happily swap the pair of them for Ali and Kane (Total cost 5m + a lot less in wages)

    Just a thought

    1. Stop all these nonsense. Kane was a 9 year old kid when he moved to Spurs. How many of you can’t just wait to criticize Arsenal only borders on insanity. You praise Spurs for finishing above Arsenal and argue how it shows how far we’ve fallen yet you praise Manchester United who have consistently finished below us in the last couple of years. What has Spurs won? Nothing. Arsenal has won 3 of the last 4 FA Cups and yet we’re so bad but Spurs are the new invincibles for finishing in the top 4.

    1. Neither did Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, and pretentious Man U. City are in a league of their own this season.

  2. In the last meeting with Tottenham, Arsenal played with 3-4-2-1 and Tottenham played with 4-2-3-1. Tottenham’s defender were playing with Arsenal’s attackers.

They barely affected by Arsenal attackers’ pressure, kept building the attack from the back and were passing the ball around Arsenal attackers.

The chemistry between their goalkeeper and defenders were great, they let Arsenal attackers chased the ball around. If Arsenal could have this chemistry in the back, they could control the game, with the help of the midfielders.
