Kolasinac gets the highest praise from Arsenal star

Saed Kolasinac is fast becoming a favourite amongst Arsenal fans for his battling power and combative style, but he also appears to be an extremely talented individual as well. Nicknames like ‘The Tank’ or ‘The Hulk’ show how our fans feel about him, but it seems he impresses the Arsenal players as well, and if Alexis Sanchez is impressed enough to say he is difficult to get past, then he is definitely worth listening to!

“It’s tough [against him in training] because he’s strong and he’s hard to get around!” Alexis said on Arsenal.com. “He’s a very experienced player and he’s really strong.

“When it matters [in games], he finds me and makes good passes so I can score. He is an intelligent player who can create good goalscoring opportunities.

“He’s already demonstrated his quality. He’s scored goals, provided assists and shown what he can do both in European and league games.”

You can’t get a better reference than that! And Saed is definitely looking to be the best signing of them summer, and even better we got him for nothing! He is making just as much of an impact as our most expensive signing ever, Alexandre Lacazette. Wenger himself was so impressed after his Man Of The Match performance against Swansea last week that he said: “Sead’s a winner,”

“Fans want winners and he could deliver again when it was needed today. He didn’t hit it [his shot] into the stand, he hit it into the back of the net. That shows that the guy is a winner.

“He’s been a success because he’s a good football player, and he looks like he’s made for the wing-back position because he likes to go forward and the timing of his runs is very good. After that, I believe as well he has that natural physical power that is needed in the Premier League. Without that, you struggle.”

He certainly has power in abundance. So what do you think? Is he an even better signing than Lacazette, or could they both make a massive difference this season?

  1. Play coquelin Rwb and I think the team will be like steel across the 4. Also think that wilshire could replace ozil or even xhaka if coquelin comes in. Hard lines on bellerin, but defensively he is not good enough. I’m really worried for Cech too.
I think the weakest players at the moment in no particular order are bellerin, Cech, xhaka Mertesacker. Then there is the obvious concern about the two star men and no proper back up for saed. They would be the 7 positions I would be focusing on over the rest of the season and the next 2 windows. Some cover could from within, the likes of wilshire, coquelin, Nelson, nketiah. Iwobi, Chambers, martinez, macey and niles all in my opinion ready to step up another level. But replacing the big 2 if they walk for free, is a tough job

    1. I note that your weakest players list excluded Walcott. But then you did call them “players”, so you were right to exclude him.

  2. Best teak tough and warrior defender for a decade. A magical free acquisition, in Campbell style by Wenger. Perhaps he should get all his defenders on a free, cos those he pays money for, are ALMOST all rubbish, since around 2006. Only ONE top quality CB (KOS) and NO top CDM in a decade now. Disgraceful!
