The Arsenal and France defender Laurent Koscielny played well despite on Friday despite his country’s disappointing defeat to Japan in a friendly. But now they have an extremely important World Cup Qualifier coming up against the current Champions Spain, and Koscielny is advising Didier Deschamps to consider using the same tactics that Arsenal utilised when they faced Barcelona.
Koscielny, who had an injury scare before the Japan game, said: “There are two solutions, to play low or press higher up,”
“We run a lot, and have the physical condition required for the latter.
“We used this at Arsenal against Barcelona, and succeeded. This could be a good solution for us.”
Whether Deschamps would be willing to take advice from Arsenal is another matter, as he recently told Wenger to mind his own business when the Gunners manager said that Diaby had been brought back to the French international team too early. Ignore Arsenal at your peril monsieur Deschamps!
