Lacazette CONFIRMED on official Arsenal site! Brilliant!

At long last an Arsenal transfer rumour for a top top top striker has actually come true!

Arsenal.com just announced:


Alexandre Lacazette has agreed to join us on a long-term contract, for an undisclosed fee

He is expected to travel with the tour party to Sydney this weekend and is likely to make his home debut in the Emirates Cup on July 29 or July 30.

Manager Arsène Wenger said: “We are very happy to have Alexandre join our group. He has shown over a number of years that he can score goals and that he is a very efficient finisher. As well, he has very interesting technical qualities and a strong character. So he is a guy who is a great addition for us, and someone who will help us challenge at the top level this season.”

The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

So now we just need Lemar and Mahrez and this will be the best Arsenal transfer window EVER!!!!

    2. Lacazette was officially arrived. I’m glad but not over hyped. One question across my mind : if he’s that good, then why Didier Deschamps doesn’t have plan for him? Any answer? Latest France squad : Giroud in the middle, Mbappe and other kid (I forgot his name) in the flank. Best selections : Giroud, Mbappe, and Griezmann. Lac? Somewhere in the bench.
      Arsene must thought something Deschamps didn’t, and lets hope that the result is gonna be amazing as we expected.

    Key among them is that it most likely will help in further negotiations to come.

  12. A very good signing for arsenal. We need to sign Lemar and a very solid defensive midfielder and the team will be excellent.

  14. I still dont get why people want mahrez. if we sign him then surely alexis or ozil are leaving because mahrez would play in LAM or RAM position.

    We only need a CM to make this one of the best transfer window in a while and one of the best squad. we have one of the fattest( LOL ) squad we ever had. lemar would be nice to rotate with either alexis or ozil and eventually taking over in 2 years and goretzka to rotate with ramsey and xhaka. 2 young good players with high ceiling.

    Funny now we need to trim the fat 34 players 21 or over. we have 9 surplus

    this would give us 25 players, a cm/am would take cazorla place in the squad

    1. Mahrez can play with Alexis and Lacazette.
      I think Ozil, Mahrez, Alexis and Lacazette would be an amazing attack

      Mahrez would be an upgrade to Theo

      If we lose Alexis we would also need a Left winger

      1. Yes mahrez is a damn good upgrade on Walcott but Walcott is not needed in 3-4-3. So signing him would mean bye bye alexis. Remember when rvp went we got 3 good players before he went.

    Arsenal fans will always want more transfers. I am already quite enthused.

    My biggest remaining concern is the loss of Cazorla’s creative play.

  41. Lacazette really is a quality signing. If wenger sign Lemar, Goretzka, and Golovin that would be a dream come true.

  42. Just shows how you can still attract best players without CL football – you know need to show good intentions. In our worst season we still managed a trophy (Chelsea had zero trophy and finished mid-table last season). No doubt, Laca is good business at 53m (compared to Morata at 80m). Let’s step up the game beyond FA cup. Let’s hunt for EPL,..and more. This is what I see – Sanchozylaca!

  43. Every1 calling for mahrez, dont forget that it would mean a return to a 4-2-3-1 as opposed to the 5 at the back which served us so well at the end of the season. Money would be better spent on a top cm to partner xhaka
