Last internationals give Arsenal hopes a HUGE boost

The last games of the current international break are all done and dusted, so Arsenal fans look forward once again, if that is the right phrase to use at the minute, to the club football we all care about. And whereas we went into this break on a downer with hope hard to come by, I think the last round of the games have given us Gooners a big boost.

With Petr Cech having picked up a knock that will keep him out of action for a few weeks it makes our second choice keeper David Ospina one of the most important players for Arsenal right now, so the chance for him to play and find some form with the Colombia national side has got to be a good thing.

Ospina should be coming back to north London with a nice boost of his self confidence as well, because he kept clean sheets in both their matches, which they won, and now has a great chance of getting through to the World cup finals in Russia next summer.

The same is true of another of Arsenal’s key men Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean will be buzzing after putting in a stellar performance with a goal and an assist as Chile beat Venezuela. Our striker has not been in the best of moods recently and that was not helped with their first match which they lost to Argentina, but Messi and co. lost to Bolivia last night and that has put Chile back into the qualifying places.

So all in all you would expect these two important Gunners will be ready to take on Man city on Sunday. We certainly need them to be.

Bob.

  1. What a stupid article!!! There is only one question of importance to Arsenal that is, who is the next manager of Arsenal going to be (and just as importantly when is this appointment going to be made???).

    1. What a stupid comment!! So you want the same article posted over and over again? Ridiculous….

It’s attitudes like yours which keeps Arsenal stuck in ground hog day.
You’d prefer the same mind boggling mediocrity repeated on the pitch year after year while totally stupid articles divert fans attention from what must be done to end the nightmare for Arsenal FC, which is: Wenger must go!

  2. Certainly a massive game.
Two big clubs battling for ECL places.
Two legendary managers reputations on the line.
Players in both sides desperate to prove their worth.
Fans needing a boost to their confidence
    after exits from Europe.
    FA Cup semi preview even.
If Arsenal lose, the Weger out chants will get louder.
It’s all going down at the library Sunday avo.
Just have a feeling Arsenal will win this one.
Then Arsene will make the announcement.
“I will make my decision at the end of May”…………2019 🙂
