Leicester v Arsenal Preview, Line Up and Score Prediction

Arsenal will be keen to bounce back in the Premier League after last week’s notorious loss against the cheats from Chelsea, but have not been given the easiest of games today against an unbeaten Leicester side.

Claudio Ranieri has got his squad performing brilliantly and are currently two points ahead of the Gunners and are joint top in the goalscoring charts with 13 along with West Ham. Arsenal have scored 5 and conceded 5 in their first six League games. Leicester have scored in every match this season, but have also failed to keep a clean sheet either. But history is definitely on Arsenal’s side as Leicester have not beaten Wenger’s men in 17 games spanning the last 20 years.

It is also a fact that Ranieri has only beaten Arsenal once in 14 attempts, and he is unhappy that his team have had to fight back after conceding first lately. “Coming back from behind might be exciting, but it is not good. I would prefer to get in front and try to stay there.” He told the BBC.

“It’s not easy to score goals when you go behind in matches. We must concentrate and be more careful because I think to beat Arsenal we must play the perfect match, and also have some very good luck.

“Arsene Wenger can put Alexis Sanchez in goal and Petr Cech up front and Arsenal will still have a great team.”

Arsenal will be without Gabriel and Coquelin, but Mertesacker is back and Wednesday’s hero Matthieu Flamini is likely to get the DM role, so it will be a very strong side. I am sure Walcott will be chosen ahead of floundering Giroud…

Predicted Line Up:

Alexis
Monreal – Kosciely – Mertesacker – Bellerin
Cazorla – Flamini
Ramsey – Ozil – Cech
Walcott

I know that Leicester are no pushovers, but our players are getting stronger every weak. I’m going with history and reckon the Gunners will find their scoring boots and win 3-1

    1. Honestly how is Ozil doing pls ? On a scale of 1 – 10 (honestly)
And pls i dont want de he sees a pass like no other crap , cos every player passes..
And i just checked the statistics and he is way below Santi Cazorla and BFG for passes.

So I ask How is Ozil doing ?? Is how he is doing worth 42.5??

  1. a win anything less and i will be unhappy.
for anyone saying well Leicester are unbeaten so far.
look at our squad , look at there squad..exactly. we have no excuse.well rested aswell
plus dont forget arsene is big on COHESION!

  2. When Wenger said that Ranieri should get credit for putting foundations in he was not wrong, everyone mentioned it with Arsenes first trophies and even Arsene himself has said how lucky he is/was.

Some people think it is just said so he can have a dig at mourinho but that’s not the way I see it. He has respect and admiration for the Italian and was only give dues credit. Unlike Wenger I have never heard mourinho say how good his predecessor left things instead he called himself special. Even yesterday mourinho took this to be a swipe rather than what and who it was rightly meant for so decides to accuse Wenger of all sorts which he himself is not blameless of.

I remember when the Italian got sacked and rarely anyone thought it was the right call. It was the Invincibles he was up against and gave us a decent chase. Like our manager mentioned he had put together a wonderfully strong team and that team has even dictated the type of players chelsea and mourinho would target in the future.

Everyone knows (esp Arsene) that mourinho has not built entirely his own team/squad as of yet. Until he can do this he is nothing more than a mr motivator. The players basically pick themselves with these types of squads, and the formations have been around for allot longer than he (when was the bus invented). He does not conduct himself like the face of a football club and I have met children with better manners than he. Great motivator all the same, and I think he should have a name tag saying the special motivator ..or the special one for short.

    1. those foundations comments were interesting to me, baring in mind the foundations george graham layed for wengers successful teams.
has wenger ever gone into george grahams tenure before im not sure

i have no doubt mourinho an wengers sniping will carry on but you will notice that mourinhos comments will be far more distateful…man has little respect

  3. mert ramsey walcott in starting line up makes us a team with 4th place ambitions…throw in flamini and… despite his great goals in mid week…this is tough fixture with leicester the more confident team having the slight edge…dont think it will be a draw but cld go either way

  4. Arrogance will prevail as per usual ramsey on wing etc

I predict and I say this with confidence and no reverse physcology in mind, Leicester 3 arsenal 1

If we get a draw I would be surprised a win il be overly surprised don’t think these bottlers have got it in them unfortunately.

Roll on the wenger excuses “decisions, ref etc etc etc “

  5. Alexis is amazing, but not as Goalkeeper
Also, Cech is a WC keeper but not a LB
Also, monreal is better at LB than RB
    Bellerin is better at RB
    lol

  6. Problem with these teams is that they Re willing the get their bones bronken if it means scoring a goal vs a big team.
And if they Re good and organized even worse….they know that it will put them on the map of big money agents and clubs

  7. Our last 5 away games at Leicester have all been draws,
With 1-1 being a usual result.

The spuds have leapfrogged us into to 5th at the moment,
They are leading 2-1 against city ?

  8. alexis for all his skills loses the frequently…
ozil doesn’t seemed to be least bit interested in playing….
and generally our players are very reluctant to close down opponent players……
