Likely Deadline Day moves for Arsenal according to the bookmakers

Arsenal completed two moves to sign Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi yesterday, but with under 24 hours remaining in the current window, who else could be joining us?

Jack Wilshere is expected to leave us on loan today, and the bookmakers make Crystal Palace odds-on favourites to be his destination, but will his exit increase the likelihood of a new arrival?

There are no central midfielders in the betting to join us currently, but the England international has been favoured in a more advanced role in his most recent outings, and the likes of Isco, Draxler and Antoine Griezmann have been linked.

The betting does not give much hope for us to complete a deal for either of the trio, but Isco does appear to have fallen out of favour at Real Madrid, and the German international is claimed to be keen on leaving his current club Wolfsburg. Wenger was reported to have been slyly trying to work on a deal to bring in the European Championship’s Golden Boot winner Griezmann, and he is as short as 5/2 (3.5) to join us today (fingers crossed).

Unsurprisingly, a number of strikers are in the betting, with much talk in recent weeks surrounding our hunt for a new goalscorer, but with Lucas Perez having joined, I’m not a believer that we will add another rival for Giroud this summer. The odds don’t reflect my thoughts however, and Icardi, Lacazette and Benzema are all shorter than 8/1 (9.0) to join us.

Jose Fonte is the only defender with odds on a switch to the Emirates at this point in time, but at 20/1 (21.0), he is not rated a strong chance to join, and with Mustafi already here, I don’t see the need for him anyway.

Odds on joining Arsenal before the deadline (correct at time of writing):

Antoine Griezmann 5/2 (3.5)
Alexandre Lacazette 4/1 (5.0)
Mauro Icardi 4/1 (5.0)
Karim Benzema 13/2 (7.5)
Daniel Sturridge 7/1 (8.0)
Romelu Lukaku 8/1 (9.0)
Alvaro Morata 9/1 (10.0)
Jose Fonte 20/1 (21.0)
Julian Draxler 25/1 (26.0)
Isco 33/1 (34.0)

Could we land a big Deadline Day signing? Has Wenger got a huge trick up his sleeve?

Doubt it. Spent already 100 million, not sure he’s given more this window. But it would be absolutely fantastic if he’d be given another 80 million to splash 🙂

I’m not sure there will be anymore signing. but for me Griezman or Draxler would be awesome. Not expecting it to happen tho, but who knows. maybe there something coming up with all these loan moves of ur players. Let’s wait and see tho.

Jack Wilshere received a staggering 22 offers.Maybe he chose Palace because he wanted to stay in England because Inter Milan,Valencia,Juventus,Roma and a lot of other teams are in for him.Wow then they must be average.Haven’t they checked his stats?Don’t they know he’s injury prone?Do they think he’s anything special? He should take the opportunity and leave to fulfill his potential.Isn’t he tired of being undervalued? After all it is claimed he is not going to be a starter for Arsenal again.Doesn’t he know potential can never be taken away from a player it’s only form which is altered. Why does he persist when he has clubs begging to sign him and give him the chance?

Coz All managers in the world and legends (including xavi) appreciate what wilshere brings to the game. Only stupid blind fans don’t see what he can do. The only english player that can pass like a spaniard and dribble like an argentine.
He has been injured but even if he plays half of the season, it is worth for those teams.

I doubt Arsenal will make last day signing after securing Perez and Mustafi..

In Wengers voice, if a player is available and can improve the team then we can make the move.

I wouldn’t mind a cover for Bellerin. I don’t know what’s up with Debuchy. Although Mustafi can play Rb

Once again, Welcome Xhaka, Asano, Holding, Perez and Mustafi….

I think Wenger will try Perez on right- if that works it’s a formidable from 3

If it doesn’t work- assuming Sanchez is on the left, then I think we short on the right.

I don’t believe Walcott should be in 1st team

Going on loan to Palace is the best move for Wilshere. It’s a London club, in the EPL , they will guarantee him a starting shirt, plus his family is right here in London
