Lucas Perez transfer the start of Arsenal exodus?

I am sure that Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board will want to get the best possible return for any of the current Arsenal squad who will be leaving the club this summer, but the reality of the situation is that we do not have all that much bargaining power with many of the players likely to leave.

The situation with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Hector Bellerin or Olivier Giroud is different because the boss actually wants these players to be at Arsenal this season but with the likes of Lucas Perez and others including Matthieu Debuchy everyone knows they are surplus to requirements and our squad size means that we need to sell.

So with the new season fast approaching and time running out for Wenger to bring in any more new players I think it is time for Arsenal to start cutting our losses and with The Mirror reporting that we are currently considering a bid of around £9 million from Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna for Lucas Perez I reckon the floodgates may be about to open.

Accepting the offer would mean a loss of £8 million on the player but if we accept it would send out a clear signal for clubs interested in other fringe Arsenal stars and that might even lead to a few bidding battles. Arsenal need to sell and I think we will take the offer for our Spanish striker. Will that be the start of an exodus of the unwanted Gunners from north london?

please can we leave this he wasn’t given a chance thing. It is more like he was patient. That was his first season. playing with new team mates, different football culture and language to say a few and still got 21 appearance.

How can there be an exodus unless Arsenal fund it – the players to be sold are on too much money. Why should Debuchy, Jenkinson, Gibbs etc go when they have another year on wages they cannot get elsewhere and then next summer leave on free and then they can negotiate a good deal.

Probably what will happen with Ozil and Sanchez as well in all honesty.

I never thought he was very bad. Just that he wasn’t given much chances and played mostly on the wing.

After playing 21 games in his first season and u say he was not given a chance. Cut dat crab. He is an average player and a panic buy for Wenger. We all know that he is not the class we arsenal fans have been craving for. So let him leave

Perez is a great player, only God knows why Le prof never fancied him…OT:if we can manage to secure the signings of both lemar and seri,I tell you come may the league is ours..but then again one needs to teach Mr Arsène how to be flexible tactical:-\

Opinions divided. What do you think? Thumb up 14 Thumb down 6

9 million is somewhat of a bargain for him. If Arsenal really needed the money they would keep him, play him minimum in the Euros, and as a sub, showcase his talents, and his worth would go up at least 10 million.

Lemar is not joining Arsenal this transfer window. He’s about completing 90mins for Monaco against PSG in Morocco.

Same odd b]~lox, if you what the player to stay sit down with them and work out a deal or sell them on if you can’t reach an agreement.

Giroud proved his worth again today. Lamppost or not against the right opposition he is worth the money, same goes to the ox.

We played some good football today and some fringe players made their point.

You can’t read much into a friendly cup game but today’s result gives us some hope, the young guns could say the day.

I watched today the game between PSG and Monaco.I put all my attention on Lemar and I was not impressed with his game.I thing that we should keep Perez and reinforce the midfield .Coquelin was injured today and that will create a problem as we not have a player with similar caracteristics. We had this problem before.I was impressed with Keita from Leipzig, but he is not available.
