Man United v Arsenal betting preview – Take the draw?

Just as Arsenal always give their fans palpitations right until the end of individual games, they are also keeping us on tenterhooks regarding our finishing position in the League. Tomorrow’s match against Man United could go a long way to allay our fears if we can take something away at the end of it.

According to Ladbrokes, Man United are favourites at 6/4 with Arsenal a very generous 15/8 to win the game, but I am even happier about the price of 5/2 for the draw. Wenger has already admitted that a draw would be a great result for the Gunners, and I believe Le Prof will set out the team to frustrate the United forwards right from the start. Ladbrokes are also tempting me with 12/1 for a 0-0 draw, and with Arsenal having failed to find the net in their last two outings could be a serious choice for me. By the way if you want to take advantage of these prices then make sure you use this bonus code for Ladbrokes before investing your money. Maybe you could use it to have a saver on the 1-1 draw?

Man United’s form has been in-and-out all season, and when they lost to lowly West Brom in their last home game to make three defeats in a row their season looked finished, but they struggled through to victory over Crystal Palace last week to hold on to their hopes of a Top Three finish. Both teams are likely to be nervous so I am not expecting a high-scoring game. The reported news today that David De Gea will likely be leaving United this summer could also have a destabilising effect on the home side.

Not many get past the young Spaniard, but if you are hoping that Arsenal may nick a goal, then maybe the 9/1 on offer for 0-1 may appeal to you, but I am going to stick my neck out and take Giroud to score the only goal of the game at a cool 40/1 from Ladbrokes. That looks extremely generous in a very tight game, so there will be a small investment in that from me!

Whatever you decide on, let’s simply hope Arsenal can stop United from scoring, then my bets would all look good! Good luck to Arsenal and good luck to you too!

lol.. Villa are looking terrible. Reminding me of our 6-0, 6-3, 5-1 sorry performances last season.. smh

Meanwhile, Saido mane may have just scored the fastest hatrick of the season…WTF! A hatrick in 15 minutes?….actually, its 5 goals in 45mins….. And guess what, they did it against our F.A cup final opponent…. Now back to Arsenal, can we do this to the same villa? … Cuz seeing as it will be ARSENAL, we will try to play our passing, passing, passing tactics spiced with beautiful nonsense football without end product… Hope we are watching soton vs villa, Goals are what win matches…even if it means playing ugly

And I remember how long we had been Linked to RON VLAAR… How woeful he Looks 2day

      @great guns
I for one wouldn’t mind him in our squad. He’s got pace, is clinical in front of goal, good movement off the ball as well. Thats good enough for me…

I’ll definitely take the draw, it would leave us 2 points ahead with a game in hand and better goal difference.

    Man Utd to win 6/4
    Arsenal to win 15/8
    Draw 5/2

Does anyone know how to actually interpret these figures?????

I saw our figure bigger @ 15/8. I thought we are bigger with chance of winning ???
    Then I was wrong??

    Please educate me ????

The result with the worst odds indicates the favourite. Given the odds above if you were to put £8 on each of 3 the possible results then:
      £8 on Manchester United @ 6/4 wins £12 plus the £8 stake returned = £20
      £8 @ on Arsenal at 15/8 wins £15 plus the £8 stake returned = £23
      £8 on the draw @ 5/2 wins £20 plus the £8 stake returned = £28
So according to the bookies Man U are the favourites to win the game, Arsenal 2nd favourites and the draw is the ‘outsider’ i.e. the least likely result, according to them.
Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!

We have to take whatever the result is. We have no choice. lol

But I want to Win. For ranking. For belief and for Pride.

Historically, United v Arsenal is a great feature. Lots of great moments. Actually, my most memorable moment was unfortunately a bad moment for us. It was when Giggs scored against us in the FA Cup final from the left side at a very tight angle. I try to forget ir but can’t lol

Don’t let this Aston Villa score fool you.

If we are not at our best and underestimate them we will be in trouble. They desperately want to get something positive out of the season and will play hard in the final

It’s crucial that we play hard and at our best to win the trophy.

As sometimes happens the Villa players may have been guilty of ‘looking after themselves’ knowing that the cup final is on the horizon and don’t want to pick up an injury. You saw what happened to them with this mentality. Let’s hope AW drills it into our players not to make the same mistake or, as we used to say in my day, the Arsenal players must still ‘GET STUCK IN!’

One loss to swansea and all our confidence is gone? people wtf! Not only do i expect arsenal to win, i think we will do it with some style against a mediocre man Utd side who have been woeful.

If we would have signed Schniederlin then I would have been really confident of a win. But alas it was not to be.

    Why settle for a draw???
We are a big team in the EPL..Manure might be winning matches but they are doing it just by some headed goals by that Fellaini..He can really do nothing but just head the ball..He isnt a great passer..neither a fox in the box..nor a long range goal scorer..he is really a player for a club like Stoke or West Ham…No offence intended…He shouldn’t be starting at manure but he is…Block his headers and get past De gea..we will surely win…Just one stupid loss shouldn’t be taking our momentum away…We still havent beaten manure for years in the Barclay’s at Old Suckford…We need to do this..not by some failed back pass but by some style..COYG…

I don’t think arsenal are going there with any interest to manchester and after the luck they received from a mistake a united player made where the team got lucky to be honest. I am going for a good 2-0 loss and a 4th place finish to boot and yeah gunners if you think that saints thrashing of villains is going to be walk in the park for the team please!!! don’t think even for a moment that is going to be that easy, as usual arsenal will find a way to mess it up!

  11. kamn288

Well i see that arsenal don’t have interest to play quick football and use wings simultaneously and play only one-dimensional football for what the manager likes who is rigid and now states it is fight for top 3, the arsenal CEO like entertainment more than trophies so that tells about the club.
