“More chance of snow falling at Wembley than Arsenal beating Man City”

That is a little harsh I know, but the facts are that the bookies rate Arsenal’s chances of beating Man City in 90 minutes is rated at 17/4 by Ladbrokes, while the price of it actually snowing while the game is being played is only a 7/2 shot (14/4). Man City are hot favourites at 7/4. The draw is set at 4/1, which is still shorter than the price of it snowing!

A Ladbrokes spokesman said: “The odds suggest there’s more chance of snow falling during Sunday’s game than Arsenal beating City in 90 minutes, and at 25/1, we’re not completely ruling out the chances of the game being abandoned.”

Because there is snow forecast for the whole of London at the weekend, they are even offering 25/1 for the game to be abandoned or postponed.

The price on Arsenal may be worth taking, especially as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be back instead of the totally out-of-sorts Danny Welbeck, while Alexandre Lacazette has no chance of recovering from his injury. We will also welcome back Aaron ramsey, who scored a hat-trick in the last game he played, which was also his first ever game playing alongside Aubameyang and Mhkitaryan. If all three play as well as they did against Everton we could be giving Man City more problems than they are expecting.

Here is the full Arsenal squad that Wenger can choose from….

Ospina, Cech, Macey, Holding, Mustafi, Chambers, Monreal, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Elneny, Wilshere, Willock, Ramsey, Ozil, Iwobi, Welbeck, Aubameyang.

  1. we are playing against a Fifa18 team…..270m defence…

even if we lost by 1 or 2 goals …its a good result for us?

    1. definitely with huge funds…backed by a country…

they are capable of changing their entire 25 man squad for next season too

    2. Bellerin for Gabriel? Elneny for giroud?

      Terrible changes.

If We are going to win this we need to stifle the midfield that is going to mean playing 3 at the back and ozil as a lone 10 off aubameyang. The best option is

      Ospina
      Koscielny mustafi Monreal
      Bellerin wilshire xhaka ramsey kolasinac
      Ozil
      Aubameyang

Cech chambers Niles elneny nelson iwobi welbeck

  3. So long as Man City play Bravo in goal, we have a chance. He’s awful lol

Also, if Ramsey is fit, this guy always turns up for title bouts. Game on, Citizens!

  4. I know on our day when we all turn up we can beat anyone, I just don’t know. Who knows they might surprise me!
The stats & odds are against us…..

  5. This is a one off game and Arsenal must take the field with the intention to give their best and with an intensity over 90 minutes to make it difficult for Man City. If a team goes onto the field thinking they can’t win, then they won’t win. Man City are beatable.

  6. We can beat city if the right selection is made.
    Ospina
    Bellarin kolschieny Mustafi Montreal
    wilshere Xhaka
    oizil
    ramzi iwobi
    Auba
Meaning ramzi and iWobi will track back to in defence when we dispossessed the ball leaving ozil and auba upfront.

    1. Really there is nothing I would do should Arsenal fail to win the League Cup other than to wonder WHY and WHY would an impressionable manager and coach and ”football brand economist” suddenly takes on the sticker of bywords and gainsayers.
HOWEVER, there is no excuse, there should be none.
He has rested players, though, that has never really worked. I am familiar with that approach long time ago. Once a champion league game is next week, it was three points on a plata of gold for the preceeding league game opponent.
NOW it is up to the players to realise that ONLY things to play for is not League position anymore this season BUT the CUPS.
THEY must SELF-MOTIVATE to ” just do”. As for le Prof? He cannot even move a desirous she.

  7. If Wigan can beat them, we surely can, just need full commitment from the team and bags of belief.

At our best (or close to) we can beat them on any given day, but we often start slow and get owned…we shall see tomorrow.
