Motivated Arsenal have to be at their best to beat Man City

As the day of reckoning draws closer, Arsenal are doing their utmost to prepare for Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Man City. We have won our last six visits to Wembley and this match will bring us up against very tough opponents, Arsene Wenger reckons that his team is highly motivated to continue our great winning run, altghough it won’t be as easy as usual.

Le Prof said on Arsenal.com: “We have played a few games there recently,” Wenger said. “We know what is awaiting us and we know both dressing rooms because we have been in both and the pitch is much better than it was before. Overall we will not feel lost there.

“We are ambitious because we have done it before and we know we can do it. In the previous semi finals, we were super favourites but in this game it is between two teams who are very close to each other in the Premier League so it is much more level on chances at the start. We know we absolutely have to be at our best to qualify.

“It’s always something special. I remember my first [semi-final], when we played at Villa Park against Wolves. That’s the day when I realised how big the club is, how much it means to our supporters because suddenly the stadium is divided in two for an away game and your fans are all there.

“So it’s a special experience and we are focused and highly motivated. Maybe not at the maximum of our confidence because we had recently some disappointing results, but that is a good opportunity to show we are ready for a fight and how much we want to go to the final.”

No matter what our respective positions in the League, this is still a Cup game and anything can happen, especially at an awe-inspiring venue like Wembley, but hopefully our vast experience of playing there regularly over the last few years, and winning every time, will give us a little bit of edge over Pep Guardiola’s side.

Should be an interesting game!

  1. We can beat them but we need to play Alexis up front and obviously play very hard for 90+ minutes. City is still favourite to win

if we get past City, Chelsea or Spurs is another matter. They are both a lot better than City and us. The winner of Chelsea v Spurs is the clear favourite in the final

  2. Really Motivated Arsenal?

    .
Tell me who does the motivating on the pitch……The selfish board, Bould who sits all day chewing gum or Mr.Potato Head playing with his zippers??????

    .
Arsenal is being run by chickens!
Its why the players chicken out easily under pressure….

  3. Don’t get me wrong, It would be fantastic/Amazing/Unbelievable if we beat City and went on to win the FA cup…. But the truth is, we haven’t seen anything from our mob to suggest that was possible ?? not even a spark to lighten up a glimmer of hope lol?? Excuse me for not taking any notice of Wenger’s delusional “we are motivated” gobbledygook Bull?. Now on the other hand, I bet the Man City Squad are highly motivated for this game, just for the fact that they are playing Arsenal ???

    GOVERNMENT HEALTH WARNING!
If you’re planning on watching this game at home, whilst having a drink or two, Please be advised not to take it out on your love ones when we get humiliated… Again!
Your wife’s and Pets are for life and not just for Arsenal defeats ??
