Mourinho respected Cech’s wishes, now Wenger should do the same for Rosicky…

This was definitely the most drawn out Arsenal transfer deal I have ever known, although I can imagine Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho shouting at each other over the conference table while discussing the price. I reckon that it only ended up at 10.9 million GBP because they flipped a coin for the final 100,000!

Anyway it is just about a done deal, with the BBC reporting that Arsenal and Chelsea have agreed a price and Cech is on his way to have a medical to cement the mov, and the Czech international will end his 11-year highly successful career at Stamford Bridge. He has won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, one Champions League and one Europa League title, making 13 quality medals in just 11 years. Not bad for a start, as he is obviously going to win a lot more now he is at Arsenal!

Now a lot of people think that he is just moving clubs to get first team football, and I reckon that is totally correct for one BIG reason. He wants to make sure that he is going to the Euro2016 with the Czech national side and his place may have been in doubt if he wasn’t playing regular first team football.

Cech may be happy that he will now be in the same team as his mate Thomas Rosicky, but our Little Mozart would be much happier if he too could be guaranteed a starting spot for the Gunners or the freedom to move to a club that will play him every week, so that he too can be guaranteed a place in France next summer.

I have been thinking that maybe Wenger activated Rosicky’s one year extension clause as extra incentive for Cech to sign, but now that the deal is finalised perhaps Wenger could take pity on Rosicky and let him choose a new club?

Wenger should see that Cech’s manager Jose Mourinho respected his wish to move to Arsenal, despite Jose being totally against the idea. After Rosicky’s eight seasons of loyal service Wenger should give him the same respect….

      1. Both players are Czech, have a year to run on their contract and neither are first team regulars at their current clubs. But that is where the salaries ends.

Cech has asked chelsea for a transfer and lots of clubs wanted him.

Rosicky has not asked to leave and as far as we know no one has made a bid.

        Ball is in Tomas’s court.

        1. Well said.
Oh and also lets not forget that Jose doesn’t respect the fact Cech is coming to Arsenal, he is having to take that due to Roman allowing it to happen, Jose will be bitter about it.

We want Cech… 1 year left on contract and contract is for around £5mil a year?

Cech had1 year, he can buy it out… Roman is the one respecting Cech and not Jose, Roman also knows that Cech could buy hiself out of his contract for the remainder of it which is 1 years woth, around £5mil.

          1. Good point, buying his contract. Wenger missed that one, could of got Cech for five mil. Would have loved to see that happen if mour had of dug his heels in.

Rosicky, I think we should let him go to che. They look like they could use him and after all they did give us one of the PL’s best. Its only fair, and their fans can witness some great forward play without having to peep into their neighbours yard.

    1. Rosicky should stay and be used more often, the dude is still pure class. Stylish player full of energy with tons of experience. We need to keep him and get rid of useless players like arteta and flamini

  1. Mou sold Luiz to P$G and he knocked them out of UCL. Now get ready for round 2 Mou.

  2. Have Arsenal really ever held a player against their wishes before? Can’t Recall the last time we did

    1. Vieira I seem to recall wanted out a year or so before the invincible’s year and was forced to stay. Fabregas I think wanted out the season before he left. Most players were sold in their prime or while we could get the most value out of them to pay for the stadium. I’m sure there is interest in a lot of our players every summer and their will be interest now but I can’t see us selling anyone especially key players.

  3. If Rosicky wanted to leave he could have. I wasn’t aware that he is unhappy here.

I do agree that Rosicky will find it difficult getting into the first team because of Cazorla, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere but with our injuries, Rosicky is still useful to have.

Rosicky and Cech will be our best over 30 players by far. Rosicky is amazing for 34

      1. Well done for turning a grain of sand into a beach… Oh and care to find sources outside of JustArsenal? It’s like me claiming faster than light travel exists, who says? ME!

Cech also could buy his contract out for around £5.2million, which would of been his last seasons worth of salery.

        Situation is different.

        1. LOL, you know you can find Rosicky’s quotes in hundreds of other publication. None of them are secret!
You don’t need to read my editorial, read Rosicky’s words…..

  4. Humm, Rosicky can keep Cech company at Arsenal. But the Gunners don’t practise internal segregation grouping as they are united in unism in the backroom, onfield and in the dugout. Rosicky should have stopped being a Gunner from next season if going by most Gooners point of views. But the Boss has a contrary view to that. So, let’s respect the Boss views on this case as he is the manager that has the final say on the Gunners.
