Fears and desires… by Brighton
Greetings! I am so happy seeing Arsenal this active in the market… and I really hope to see more before Season starts.
To be frank Arsenal NEEDED a GK, 2 CBs, a RB, a DM, one AM and a winger. Seven quality players (tried and tested) to beef up our current squad. We have so far got a GK, one CB, a RB & a DM… We are left with 3 more players of note yet to arrive. one CB, one AM and a winger. Plus we need to replace those leaving with quality too…
● My Fear is that our players might not be experienced enough for the Premier League…but given the majority of our starting XI players are still there its fine…
♥ My Desire is that we bring in Caglar Soyuncu, Steven N’zonzi and Riyad Mahrez. Since Mahrez can play both on the Flank or Midfield and is a very versatile player he can easily replace Ozil or Ramsey (they are both injury prone these days) and can produce goals too. Please just break the bank for this one player – Mahrez!
■Replace Jack Wilshere with Mourouane Fellaini please please…
ON LINKS…..
GOLOVIN AND BANEGA AND MARTINS
I only see Golovin being the best signing, not all other players we are linked to. I also fancy seeing Arsenal for Anthony Martial from Man United….
If there is a chance for Gareth Bale please Gunners don’t hesitate!
Thank you!
Brighton
Anthony Martial would be fantastic. But I dont think Moaninho would sell to us, nor do we have funds for him.
He is a right-footed left winger, we already have many players like him
We don’t have a left-footed right winger like Bale, Bailey, Malcom, Mahrez, etc
I’m glad I was wrong on Fellaini.
Man Utd have agreed a 2 year extension with him at £100,000 per week.
Banega wants assurances over playing time before coming as he has several offers from clubs who were willing to give him first team football.
Soyuncu personal terms are already done and Sanllehi is still on the case trying to get him for a reduced fee after agreeing initially to pay the £35m.
The player’s head has been turned and is unlikely to stay at Freiburg. Also I said a months ago that Freiburg have already signed his replacement.
We will 100% be signing a winger this window too and West Ham have offered Wilshere a two year deal at £95,000 a week.
what d latest news about kovacic
Who ever wrote this article is on cloud 9,why on earth will you want Marouane Fellaini,He is almost 30 if not already,it makes no sense,at everton his best position was behind the striker we have more than enough technical players for that,we have to stop this fellaini talk its ridiculous
Yeah can you imagine a midfield partnership of Xhaka, and Fellani, with their pace? Haha His level is Everton.
To be fair on Xhaka, he has pace once he gets going, he is slow at getting going though 🙁
The agility in the CM if both Xhaka and Nzonzi would be horrendous and it would feel like a living nightmare every match.
Banega
Soyuncu
Gelson
Bonus = Golovin
Would be a quality transfer window for Emery’s first season for a team that came 6th and had a low transfer budget! It’s borderline miracle work if they pull it off! I really want Banega bcoz he will be our best player like Santi was when they get the Ball perfection happens and Golovin for me would add the extra spark going forward that we lack since Alexis left! Gelson is a cheap gamble which could go either way and Soyuncu is made for the prem! Let’s just hope we can get it done!
How people consider him as a starter material is beyond me
Whoever wrote the article is also completely ignoring the over 21, non homegrown, 17 player roster limit. Even if Campbell, Ospina, and Perez are sold, and Perez is rumored to get a chance to impress Emery this Summer, the Authors desires put Arsenal over the roster limit.
100% agree ??
I am not so sure about Sokratis and Soyuncu, but I am more convinced of Koulibaly’s height, speed and marking ability. N’zonzi was very immobile yesterday, his style looked like Xhaka’s, but maybe because Uruguay have already qualified
Mahrez or Bale is the left-footed right winger we desperately need, but I think Arsenal would prefer get one of the free wingers instead (Martins or Bernard). Martial is not needed, because we already have Aubameyang, Lacazette, Mkhitaryan, Nelson and Welbeck that are right-footed
Rather than getting Fellaini which is a CM, Arsenal should chase a towering CB or target man. Golovin and Banega are also not required, since we already have many tippy tappy CMs such as Ozil, Xhaka, Ramsey and Elneny
Martial isn’t needed but he would be nice, he is young and could turn into a fantastic CF while being the right age to take over from Auba in a couple years time…
We don’t need and would be a waste of limited cash right now but Martial could be a great buy.
It is an exciting time but wait these players are yet to be confirmed by arsenal.com
How do you put N’znozi and Uruguay in the same sentence. I heard to rewatch Russia vs Uruguay match to see if i had missed seeing him playing for Uruguay. Then i look whose comment this is and realized it is a waste of my data.
So… why do we need a AM, not a winger but AM?
I could understand a wide man… but AM?
Ozil, Mkhi, Iwobi and Rambo not enough AM for 1 AM role? We need another?
I thought that was odd too
An unrealistically hopeful article , I think. Mahrez will not be coming , nor will Bale. I would like them too , plus MESSI, RONALDO, NEUER, HUMMELS but I live on Planet Earth.
I want Leon Baily for LW, Doucoure as box to box in addition to Torreira for DM, koulibaly, manolas or skriniar for CB, basically someone better and more exprienced than soyuncu to partner sokratis as we already have three young cbs in mavropanos, chambers and holding. All of these will cost a lot of money, but we have money and i think we need to be more ambitious with the next signings, we can also make money from selling a lot of players that aren’t needed. I think a balanced team like this below or similar can compete for the league in two years.
—————Aubameyang
————Bailey ozil mkhitaryan
————Doucoure torreira
Monreal koulibaly sokratis lichsteiner
———————Leno
I personally see Koulibaly as the only player in
your starting 11 that is probably beyond Arsenals
financial reach. Selling the likes of Xhaka, Ramsey,
Welbeck and El Neny would cover the majority, if
not all of Baileys and Doucoures transfer fees and
Arsenals midfield would FINALLY have the
necessary balance/athleticism to boss the
middle of the pitch.
Selling Mustafi to fund either Soyuncu or Pavard
would be decent business as well.
I highly doubt, however that Arsenal would
seriously consider selling so many 1st team
players.
Emery said he has never seen Ozil with a sweat on yet
In attack, we need top wingers. That’s it. We have attacking midfielders and strikers
We still need top CB and defensive midfielders and Seri or nzonzi or goretzka
The writer needs to stop dreaming and wake up! ???
Is anyone concerned about the CF situation? Are we going to put one out of Lacazette and Auba on the bench every week (considering the two of them are out record signings)? Are we going to play one of them out wide or as second striker in the No. 10 role? Maybe this season we play a 4-4-2 which completely changes the type of wide players we would need. Also what happens to Ozil if we switch to a 4-4-2 or play both Auba and Laca through the middle behind on another.
We could also switch to a midfield diamond which would allow Auba, Lacazette and Ozil to play through the middle at the same time, but don’t know what that means for the rest. But it seems to me that with Auba, Laca and Ozil we have one too many who play through the middle and would expect to start every game when fit. Start either of the three out wide is definitely not ideal.
