No injuries the REAL positive from Arsenal internationals

For Arsenal fans, especially after a shaky start to the season in the Premier League and Europe, the most important thing to come out of this international break is that Arsene Wenger gets all his Gunners back fully fit from their various international endeavours.

Well it is so far so good for Arsenal after the first round of games and that is by far the most positive thing I can say. A few of the Gunners were in action, with Jack Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chambers and our new signing Danny Welbeck all getting a run out for England.

Jack had a pretty good first half and was one of the brighter players in their friendly against Norway and could have won them a penalty. He continues to suggest that he is getting his football career back on track but England were generally poor. Chambers came on late at right back and looked comfortable, while Welbeck was lively during his short cameo.

Lukas Podolski was the only Arsenal player in the Germany squad and he came on to replace the injured Julian Draxler after half an hour, but the Gunner did not really make much of an impact and his country were on the end of a bit of a pasting from their World Cup final opponents Argentina.

Tomas Rosicky was also on the losing side as he played the whole of the Czech Republic home defeat by USA. Not a great night for the Arsenal stars but they have all come through with no problems.

    1. The only thing that got me excited about this game was seeing Welbeck play ive always said wih my mate who supports man utd that welbecks has mad tekkers love the way he dribbles with the ball the guy is an athlete reminds me of CR7s build.

      1. I think Jack has been playing better recently, though the question remains – can we play him in our starting 11 if everyone is fit? And if so, where and instead of who? We could try playing him as No. 10 whilst Özil is getting fitter, though we do have Cazorla to play there too.

  1. If I’m not wrong, there’s still other international games to be played. The international “break” just started. So let’s not be too relief.

    1. He didn’t go citing injury problems. Against Lesctier he took a knock. And interlull is as boring as it gets.
Thank Almighty that he didn’t go.

    2. Yogi went with mostly young players to take a look at them. Very few players from WC squad. This is common just after the WC.

  2. The sooner these games are gone from the season the better.
I know players need to get a chance but as an example even tho it would be a laugh for most other fans what if Falcao got injured and utd missed him half a season on 300k plus a week and the 6 million fee the fans would miss out and the cost is too much.
I’m not against international friendlys but they need to move them to another date if they can change the World Cup to winter why can’t they change these less important games as there nothing but getting in the way.
Stop winter breaks for leagues and Finnish them earlier or have all leagues with winter breaks and play them then.
Either way these games just get in the way of the football most people want to watch I know I’d rather watch league than internationals at this stage of the season.

  3. Wenger made a big mistake allowing Vermaelen, Sagna, Jenkinson and Miquel go. Sagna was not
in his hands but we made no replacement at CB. We have BFG, Kos and young Chambers as back
up. Monreal is likely to be 4th choice CB while Coquelin and Flamini can play at LB.

    1. According to uefa, bellerin hayden and akpom have been officially named as senior players.

Thus giving us 8 first team defender. We also 3 keepers, 12 midfielders and 7 strikers,.with giroud omitted due to injury. He will obviously come back in in January if we get into the latter stages and he is fit. Expect either sanogo, campbell or zelalem to then drop out.

  4. my man u fan mate said that man u will beat us 8-2 again with falcao and di maria im afraid i dont know what to say 🙁 🙁 🙁

        1. Rojo is overrated. Time will tell. Not a WC player for me. He oftenly does stupid mistakes

        2. he is good but not beter than merts or kos or any better than gibbs and thats there best defender lool

  5. One day wilshere will explode into a phenomenal player. He needs to stay clear of injuries and have a good run of games. Regarding welbeck, i think he will suit our pass a move style well. We have presseing players in welbeck, sanchez, ramsey, wilshere and rozza. That’s what wenger needs in order to complete his style of play. It will now more resemble the barcelona style. Quick passing and pressing when losing the ball.

  6. he advised me to convert by weve just won the fa cup and the community shield im confused 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

    1. Say him to scuk Van Gaal’s left nut while Giiggys bends him over and does him.

If you don’t understand what i wrote. Just copy paste and send.

  7. Some fans feel compelled to protect Wenger’s mistake and claim Arsenal “really” has enough defenders.

Several years back Arsenal had 4 FBs and 1 CB out at the same time. At that time Arsenal had 4 1st team experienced CBs and 4FBs so they were able to cover it, sort of – but even then it was not pretty. Under the current defensive makeup Arsenal would have 1 defender remaining.

I am a big supporter of Wenger’s but please don’t insult my intelligence by claiming that the 6 defenders is sufficient for a top club that is trying to win trophies in 4 separate competitions. It is not. There will be problems unless Wenger finds another solution. There is no question.

  8. potentially we will have 7 England internationals……..

Gibbs, Jenkinson, Cambers, Oxie, Wilshere, Walcott and UnWelbeck…..

    thats feel kind of weird…..

    1. Who the fcuk is Oxie? Its The Ox. Don’t make it sound girly.
      And UnWelback?
You just keep getting better with time.

    2. if arsene wenger continue to pack English national players to his squad, that will be a complete failure for him.English players are over hyped NO OFFENCE.

  9. I am no Leo but you know this-
Jorge Mendes is Willam Carvalho’s agent. He is the super agent in World football.
    His clients being-
CR7, José Mourinho, Anderson, Nani, Falcao, Di Maria…….. The list is unbelievable.

Was previously a night club owner where he met Luno(GK) and brokered his 1st deal and than boom.

Sweep all this aside. My point being Wenger has never done business with him. He became an agent in 1996(the same as our last managerial appointment). But has never done any transaction with him.

Wenger despises people like this. Worth mentioning Jose Mourinho dropped his previous agent in favour of Mendes prior his move to Chelsea in 2004. A personal friend of Mendes who sent a video message after he won agent of the year award in Dubai last year.

José has been accused of stopping a move of a player to a rival when Mendes is the agent.

    Source: The Guardian.

P.S.- Mendes looks like a transgender.

  10. Well that was quick. Daily Mail saying we are going for reus next summer. Lol forget the january transfer window, the rumours for next summer have already begun.

Next week – “Arsenal have begun negotiations with Thiago Messi. Reports claim they will sign him up in 2030 for £500m. Talks are ongoing, with both parties close to completing the deal.”
