NOW is the time for Arsenal to show teeth in title race

Okay Arsenal fans, we are all a bit disappointed and deflated this weekend. After the Lord Mayor’s show of scoring six in midweek in the Champions League demolition of Ludogorets, the Gunners failed to score in a home game against Middlesborough. That was not in the script..

But there is a saying that nothing that is worth having comes easy and with the financial power in the Premier League as well as the likes of Klopp, Mourinho and Guardiola all being involved, nobody thinks this season will be easy.

If Arsenal can now put that disappointing draw to one side and get back on track though, I really believe that we will be the team to beat. Arsene Wenger has been going on for years about team spirit and balance as opposed to splashing cash and I agree.

I also feel that he has added the right players, especially with the signing of Mustafi. All the rest are showing signs but Arsenal are the more complete package, so if we can show our teeth now, will it finally be the year of the Gunner?

  1. Let’s take it game by game, there’s no easy competition in the PL. He put forward a very strong team, we just didn’t get the job done against a team that set up a bus and hit us on the counter attack (almost successfully) so in the end we were lucky to get away with a point.

    1. With the amount of different scorers in the team, why haven’t we worked out how to get past the bus yet? If we can’t get passed a Boro defence, what are we going to do when Mourinho brings his double decker into town?

  2. The worrying thing is we are still heavily dependent on Cazorla from central midfield. There is still no perfect replacement yet. Eleneny is too cautious. Xhaka will take time to reach that level, may be next season. Last season we suffered greatly due to this in the last months of the season. I just hope Santi remains fit enough to last whole season.
