Yesterday at 5pm was the deadline for Arsenal and every other club in the Premier League to subnit their final squad lists, which were allowed to be a maximium size of 25 players, although only 17 of them were allowed to come out of the Home Grown category.
The Gunners’ final squad list has 16 of these and seven who are classed as home grown, a total list of 23 players, meaning that without selling anyone, Arsene Wenger could sign two players in January as long as one of them fulfils the criteria of being registered to an English or Welsh club for 36 months before they turn 21. Here is that list, saying which of them are homegrown.

A pretty strong squad there for Arsenal, and it can be boosted by the fact that the under 21 players, such as Serge Gnabry, Calum Chambers, Sanogo, Bellerin and Oxlade-Chamberlain. That is a real benefit of the youth system and if we can keep most of these players fit this time, do you think Arsenal have a squad capable of winning the Premier League title?
the only way this squad can win title is if wenger is willing to be more flexible with formation,
play players in there actual positions ,
do subs at times reasonable to still impact games
and for him to be able to motivate these players in a way that they are hungry -theyve lost alot of that hunger

But that’s the problem with Wenger, he doesn’t change tactics depending on the opponent we face. He will play the same formation, tactics, players regardless if were playing Norwich or Chelsea.
We play ‘Our Game’ and don’t adjust depending on the opponent, It’s fine doing this when you have a team consisting of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Viera etc. but quite frankly.. we don’t.

It would make sense now to send Sanogo on loan in January as we have Giroud, Welbeck, Campbell, Sanchez who can all play up front. Sanogo would also benefit playing regularly. That would free up another place
If Diaby is still injured, Wenger should consider getting a CDM, but it’s unlikely especially in January.
Wenger must seriously consider getting a defender in January. We are short on defenders.
Alas I feel Campbell will be lost to us in January, unless Wenger does an about turn.

And the other is for a CB in jan if kos/per/chambers get injured. I think Wenger tries to survive with this thin defence until january, then buy. he must be insane if he thinks 6 defenders will be enough for capital,fa,PL,CL. He isnt that insane, or is he?
The league cup we’ll mainly use youth (which doesn’t have to be put on the players list) like always.

Me and my friends are planning to visit London and watch a game later this year but we’re having problem finding a reliable website to book tickets from. Wenger needs to as a matter of urgency do another Sol Campbell moment and get free agent defender. We can’t do a season with only 2 senior central defenders. You may mention Chambers, but he’s still new to the position and only 19. A veteran defender like Mario Yepes, who’s currently a free agent, would be an invaluable addition to the squad when the injuries begin to kick in. We can’t wait until January…. Come on Wenger, spend the £0!

From my couch im looking at the defense and we have senior Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscieny, Gibbs. Backup Monreal, Coquelin and U21 backup with Chambers , Bellerin, and some more U21 players. I think we can survive until January on that. Our team is looking strong everywhere except CDM but even there we have Arteta, Flamini, Chambers and Diaby. For our most depleted areas, not too bad huh gooners?
Diaby isn’t a DM. And as much as it pains me, I fear he will never be for long enough to make an impact.
