Official Arsenal team for Stoke – Bellerin on bench

There is some good news for Arsenal on the injury front today, although I was hoping that Hector Bellerin’s early return from his ankle injury would see him back in the starting line up for the visit of Stoke City in today’s Premier League game.

THe young Spaniard is at least on the bench and that is good news with two more league matches coming up in the next week. The Gunners also have Francis Coquelin back after suspension and the midfield has a new look with Granit Xhaka alongside the combative Frenchman, so we should be able to cope with the physicality of the Potters.

Alex Oxlade-Chambrrelain keeps his place after his recent form and THeo Walcott is ont the other side of Alexis Sanchez in our attack so there is plenty of pace and goal threat for the visitors to cope with. Gabriel keeps his place at right back as well and although he may not add too much going forward at least we should be solid in defense.

Cech
Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal
Coquelin, Xhaka
Walcott, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain
Alexis

Ospina, Bellerin, Gibbs, Elneny, Iwobi, Lucas, Giroud.

Come On You Gunners! You.ve got this.

Bob.
