Petr Cech – The BEST keeper in the best League in the world!

So after all the confusion about how many clean sheets Petr Cech had kept in his time in the Premier League, he finally reached an official 170th in Arsenal’s win over Bournemouth.

The big Czech admitted that he was counting down the minutes towards the end, while also trying to concentrate! “I must say at the end of the game I was proud,” he said on the official Arsenal website. “It is not every day you break the record of the best league in the world. I was really pleased we won the game as well because after the game we had at Southampton we had to bounce back in style.

“Overall we had a good performance and near the end, in the last five or 10 minutes, I started to check the clock as you start to think, ‘Okay, that is the game and you need to see it through and not concede’ and we did well not to.

“We concentrated until the last second because if even if you concede in the last three minutes then there is added time then it can be a very long five minutes. There can be a mistake and then you can lose the game and you need to concentrate from the start to the finish.

“It cannot be easy sometimes when you are in control and you are 2-0 up and the opposition is pushing for that goal. You have to make sure you are professional, organised and do the right things and today we knew how to do it.”

What a day for him to break the record as we finish the year at the top of the League. With Petr in goal I am seriously beginning to believe that this really could be our year…..

Onwards and Upwards! (Ooops we can’t get any higher at the mo!)

  1. the year hasn’t ended yet admin thought leicester play citeh today and could go top again. Congrats to Cech.

    1. We lead Leister on goal differences? I prefer ManShit to beat them. So, we lead one point over both. It’s time for Leister to land on earth.
For us, just keep focus. It’s still long hard way to go. Staywards and Onwards!

      1. Congrats Petr Cech. The right man, in the right place, and the right time for us. What an honor to have him at Arsenal.

      2. I rather be top on goal difference with Leicester than leading city by single point, its dangerous, Man city are our main rivals not Leicester.

  2. The January transfer window opens in 3 days so I hope Wenger already has set up plans to bring in another holding midfielder and a striker

    1. I want them (spurs) to finish 2nd in the league, that will leave Arsenal with only one possible position. #FIOS #COYG. If you know what I mean.
