So Arsenal face Newcastle this weekend, and although we are pinning all our hopes on winning the Europa League to get back into Europe’s elite competition, we still have to worry about our League position, especially with Chelsea’s comeback earlier today and Burnley’s relentless chase to try and overtake us.
So this match is very important in many ways, if nothing else we drastically need to improve our away form. We may actually be unbeaten in our last seven games but our away form in the League has been totally awful and we have only gained one solitary point in our last five games. This must change so we desperately need a win on Sunday especially as Burnley and Chelsea are going to meet next weekend.
So which team would you pick for this game? We don’t have another game for a week so Wenger is free to play his very best XI to try and get the points. Cech is certain to play even if Ospina recovers from his injury, and Granit Xhaka will be back in contention and will probably replace Aaron Ramsey who was injured on Thursday. Wenger played Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal in Russia but I think he will stick with that line-up with Burnley so close behind us.
Jack Wilshere looked to be struggling when he came on at CSKA, but Elneny earned another start after his heroics in Russia, so I am thinking Elneny, Xhaka and Iwobi will be our midfield. Aubameyang will definitely be back as striker and I think Welbeck and Ozil (obviously!) will be supporting him.

Monreal. -Been our most consistent defender this season and need him foe semi finals
Wilshere. -Not good enough.Has not had impact we hoped for.No contract.Let him go to
Everton and disappear like Walcott.
Ramsey. -Like him or not we simply MUST have him on the pitch fit and fresh to start against
Madrid
Ozil. Our best player by far.Keep him fresh for Semi Finals to at least give ourselves a
chance of winning.
Lacazette. -our only goal threat up front.
Welbeck. -Nobody else.Simple as that
Whether you agree or not we must keep our best players fit for what is our only hope of getting something from what has proved to be a disastrous season.Play all the fringe players and put in Eddie AMN and Reiss Nelson.At the end of the day what’s the difference between Seventh and Sixth?
