Well known UK bookmaker Coral announced this week they are offering enhanced odds of 28/1 on England to beat Scotland tonight.
Scotland travel south to take on England at Wembley tonight, and Coral are getting involved in this major sporting event by giving new customers a stupidly good price which is too good to turn down.
The leading bookmaker are offering 28/1 (29.0) odds on an extremely likely home win tonight, and you would have to be mad to overlook it when the actual odds are 2/5.
EnhancedOdds report that punters are piling into the enhanced price, which has already gained plenty of attention from the public as the atmosphere builds up to this mouthwatering clash.
Who will take the bragging rights?
The Three Lions have had their troubles behind the scenes in recent months, having changed personnel twice already since June, no thanks to the circus which led to the dismissal of Sam Allardyce after only one competitive match.
Gareth Southgate has now been shipped in to take over the reins for now, with the possibility of being given the role on a permanent basis, and he has led them to the top of the table with four points from his first two games in charge, while Scotland have managed only one point from their last two outings.
Our neighbours had high hopes of qualification following a big 5-1 win away to Malta in their opening match, but after failing to beat Lithuania or Slovakia, the reality is not looking so great after all.
England will be confident of adding to our rivals woes today, and will be boosted by the returns of Harry Kane and Jack Wilshere, who were not a part of the previous squad. The latter has been in great form for Bournemouth on loan, and is finally able to complete the full 90 minutes without questions over his fitness.
Wayne Rooney has been given the captains armband by Southgate and he will be looking to put in a good performance after a poor run of form.
Arsenal’s Theo Walcott could prove to be key in the side however, having been playing out of his shell so far this season. The forward has picked up eight goals already in this campaign, and is relishing his return out wide. That will no doubt be where he plays in the match, and Harry Kane should be able to free up space for the former Southampton youngster to get into the box.
The Spurs striker will likely be favourite to open the scoring, but he has not recovered from injury that long ago, and I put it to you that Theo Walcott is the much more desirable price at roughly 4/1 (5.0).
The forward should be able to link up well with Jack having played together for a number of years, and I’m certain he will get on the score-sheet at least once. I’ll also be on a 3-0 and 4-0 win.
It should be a terrific atmosphere at Wembley and one which shouldn’t be missed. Lets hope for a great game – it all kicks off at 19:45.
