Ramsey and Ozil key to Arsenal win on Wednesday

So we can now start the buildup to Wednesdays crucial match in Athens in a much more confident mood than we would have imagined a couple of weeks ago. We have got Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott and Ramsey back in the squad and we have had a confidence boosting second half against Sunderland on Saturday.

Ramsey’s return couldn’t have better timed considering Santi Cazorla was forced into the treatment room the week before, and he is very happy to be back in his favoured position. He said after Saturday’s game: “It felt really good today. I feel a lot more comfortable and it suited my game a lot better, I could time my runs into the box and get on the end of things and I could have had two or three goals but at the end of the day I’m happy.”

He scored one and as he gets more match fitness I am sure they will start coming on a more regular basis than he was getting on the wing. If he can stay fit for the whole season he may even keep Cazorla on the bench when the Spaniard finally comes back.

Another crucial member of the side against the Black Cats was Mesut Ozil, who gave an inch perfect pass to Campbell to open the scoring. He feels, he looks good and by jolly he’s playing good! And he is feeling confident about the trip to Athens. “This season is the strongest season I have ever played. I am in a good way, playing really well. I believe in myself.” he said.

“We have the quality to beat them (Olympiacos) and our goal is not to even think about going out of the competition.”

That’s the spirit we need to see in the team. We may have quite a few injuries still, but we are still stuffed with quality all over the park. Ozil and Ramsey will be the general’s orchestrating the attacks to make sure we get the goals to put us through to the knockout stages.

Onwards and Upwards!

    1. It’s funny how we find ourselves in the exact same situation as the Monaco game and the CL campaigns before that. Will we EVER cruise through a group stage ??? EVER ??!

  1. too bad we misplaced three of our master keys (sanchez , coq and cazorla)……at least we got spare master keys left!

Now, Let’s send em a Trojan xmas present!

    U ready Hector?

  2. The team should be exactly same. I would try to have Gabriel in place of Flamini where Kos is the DM and Gabriel is the CB. Flamini has a lot of tendency to leave his position and join the attack, Kos in DM would sit back and protect the backline.

    1. Kos at DM????????…… On paper, u have successfully destroyed what we’ve built at CB

sorry, but i’d rather play kos and mert at CB and gab at DM ….. But my 1st choice would be kos and gab at CB with flame/chambers – ramsey at MF…

      1. Play a 4×3 1 2 Walcott Giroud up front, Ramsey Flamini Debuchy as the 3 Ozil the 1 that’s all world class players Campbell on for Walcott 65th by then if we are not 3 up then we have a bad Squad that is not going to do anything if we lose 2-3 players injured. CB

  3. Not fussed about ECL.
The EPL is the main focus.
    Just avoid more injuries.
Villa is the next big game.

  4. I’m in Fifa manager mode.

    ——————– Cech
    Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal
    —— Chambers —– Ramsey
    Walcott ——- Ozil —— Campbell
    ————— Giroud

    ————————- Cech
    Debuchy, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal
    ————— Ramsey ——- Flamini
    Bellerin ————– Ozil ————- Campbell
    ———————– Walcott

    ———————- Cech
    Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, monreal
    Campbell, Ramsey , Ozil, Ox
    ———— Walcott Giroud
(Don’t worry about defending, we will be too busy attacking)

    1. thought there was an agreement on playing one of Giroud and walcott at the same time……… Thus i will go with ur 2nd option, cept i won’t play bellerin (rw)and debuchy(rb)

      1. Hahaha, Yeah right!
That agreement didn’t last long against Sheffield Wednesday, did it?
Also, they were both on the field at the same time against Sunderland!

        1. I would love Theo to be able to play from the off, but I just don’t think ha has had enough timeon the pitch yet.

    2. oh well, u and i both know it’s a good thing for Giroud to stand in the pitch and watch walcott warming up! L()L

  5. unlike me, i’m fussed bout both…..u do believe in miracles right?

Aside that, Injuries do happen to most of our players just bout anywhere…..on the pitch, training ground, while eating, sleeping or walking, even in the physioroom…

Then again u have to worry bout going into Europa and Touring cities like Azerbaijan….scandinavia…. Cuz bayern’s definitely whooping zagreb’s a** moro

  6. am felling CONFIDENT abt ds game with d timely return of Walcot, d form of Ozil Cech Campbell Ramsey.
by d way d form of am enjoying d form of d special one too(am sure u who).

  7. Is not going to b easy, but its achievable. As we search for go let us not leave our back open, bcoz just one goal from dem, our whole plan Will b disterbilized . our squad not bad. Am happy for Coming back of our three players especially Ramsey. I wish us best of luck

  8. My only worry about the game is being caught on the counterattack. I think we have 2 even 3 goals in us, but they know that, and that we willneed to press up, and that could be our weakness. Sad to say, therefore, I feel the key might be how well Flamini holds his defensive shape. He has it in him to do it, so fingers crossed. Also BFG and Kos are going to have to be really alert too.
