Should Arsenal grab this brilliant Man United outcast?

Arsenal are fully expected to lose many players in January and the summer, including such big names as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, and maybe our former young superstar Jack Wilshere, and there will also be some old players retiring and some more entering the last year of their contracts that could force Arsene Wenger to sell them on.

So it looks like we are going to be in desperate need of some new faces, and one star that we were very heavily linked with was the Armenian winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan before he opted to join Man United in the summer before last.

But now he has been frozen out by Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and has only made one substitute appearance in the League Cup defeat by Bristol City this week after being dropped for the last 8 matches. Now it is being reported that the Gunners are keen on taking the 28 year-old from United and I think he could be the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez who obviously doesn’t want to play for us any more.

Some will say that we don’t want a Man United reject, but Mourinho has history of getting rid of top class players when he doesn’t like them, like Lukaku, De Bruyne and Salah to name just a few.

Before joining United, Henrikh was the assist king of the Bundesliga with Dortmund and was even voted the  Bundesliga Players’ Player of the Season, so he is far from being a slouch.

If Mourinho wants to get rid of him then I don’t see why we shouldn’t take him. What do you think?

  1. i would rather have martial or rashford but let’s not kid ourselves any man u player we get offered is a dud so it’s a no for me to miki germany or italy will suit him best at this stage of his career.

  2. He can read the game like Messi, Ozil, Sanchez, Neymar and Mahrez, but he will be 29 years old in January. Arsenal need to rejuvenate their squad, so it is better to get younger midfielder like Lemar, Rafinha, Denis Suarez, Jean Seri, Sergi Roberto, etc.

  3. He was really good at Dortmund & I would have loved it if we’d signed him… but right now I’d really love some younger talent in the team

  4. I’d love the young player that apparently MU are after instead of Perisic……..Pulicic great young creative player.

    Let’s just buy aubameyang 🙂

    1. Year after year I’ve been crying out for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and nothing happens. I know Wenger is slow in making signings but I’m surprised none the money bag clubs have not snapped him up. This guy is the nearest thing I’ve seen to Thierry, can play down the middle or out wide, been the top goalscorer in the Bunderslige for the last few years, and even looks like the great man. Would be the perfect replacement for Alexis, that probably means that Wenger won’t touch him

  5. Zaha…that’s interesting we need a player that can single handedly win games like Sanchez did on form.
Zaha has recently been doing that for Palace.
I’d take him and send Theo the other way wed have money to spend on other players then.
We desperately need a Santi replacement of his quality who can direct and control the midfield, it could be Jack but he never stays fit log enough to really reach his peak. Fingers crossed he gets the contract and has a great injury free second half of the season for us. I love the guy my favourite player along with Kolasinac. Both want to play for us and have an edge about their game.

    1. And then Theo can start doing wat zaha is currently doing, dude it’s Wenger and not the players. We have very very good players but it’s Wenger who is failing to utilise their full potential. He just can’t motivate his players or instill a warrior mentality.
