Should Arsenal swap Wenger favourite for Juventus star?

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus, while Aaron Ramsey is being touted as a possibility to go the other way.

The Gunners have suffered without the creative spark of Santi Cazorla dictating play from the midfield following his absence through injury, and the club have been on the lookout for a future replacement.

The Spaniard is out of contract at the end of the season, and having turned 32 last month his injury problems over the past couple of seasons are hard to overlook.

We are now believed to be eyeing the potential signing of Pjanic from Juventus, who could well prove to be a shrewd replacement for our ageing star.

I know a number of you are hoping that our boy Jack Wilshere can return from his loan spell and build on his great season away, but I’m holding no reservations that he can remain fit for the remainder of the season, let alone have to trust in him to stay strong and well when he returns to play the Arsenal way.

Following our reported interest in Pjanic however, the Italian giants are claimed to have lodged their own interest in signing one of our stars, and I’m torn how I feel about that.

Aaron Ramsey is the man supposedly on their wishlist, and as much as I love the Welshman, he has so far failed to earn a regular starting role for our first-team, nor am I certain where his best role even is within our side.

His ability alone is what keeps him in and around our side, but he doesn’t seem to fit in our side the majority of the time, and it is frustrating not to be getting the best out of such a talented individual.

Would you let Ramsey go in order to bring in Pjanic?

  1. Swap allegri and wenger first. Arsene could get us messi and Ronaldo, and he’d turn them into losers. He’s not good enough of a manager anymore and hasn’t been for years.

  2. Mate, I would swap Ramsey for a packet of monster munch ( pickled onion) ?
I’m not too sure about this Miralem fellow,he sounds like a typical Wenger PjANIC buy ? This must be jokes,Right? ? Pjanic by name, Panic by nature.

  3. Pjanic would be an excellent signing.. Can’t for the life of me see why they’d be willing to sell though! Especially as he seems to have locked down a regular place in their squad after signing barely half a season ago

  4. First of all, I am sure we will not spend any money this January, neither do we have to. We have a good enough squad.

Second of all I would prefer not to buy new players until we have a new manager.

In an ideal (and equally unrealistic) scenario, we convince Simeone to become our manager next season. Seeing the other world’s best manager having joined the PL (Klopp, Pep, Conte, Mourinho), he fancies the challenge. He insists prior to signing that the club has to renew Sanchez’s contract, in exchange he is willing, under condition of confidentiality, to let Sanchez know he will be the new manager and try to bring Griezman. Sanchez, on hearing a proven ambitious manager is joining signs a new contract and helps us finish in the top in the final game of the season.

And then I woke up to the news Wenger renewed his contract for another 2 years because he didn’t want to let the club down now that we finished 6th.
