Should Arsenal worry about Barcelona coming for their stars?

Paris Saint-Germain look set to complete a world-record smashing move to sign Neymar from Barcelona, and Arsenal could be targeted as the Catalan club look to reinvest that income.

The French giants are said to be paying €222 Million to sign the Brazilian superstar, with the deal expected to be completed in the coming days. This will leave a hole in the Catalan’s squad, and they will no doubt be spending a large chunk of that income on bolstering their team.

There is already talk about Alexis Sanchez being eyed for a return, with the forward seemingly keen on the exit door this summer. Arsenal would likely require a profit on the £31.7 Million reported fee in order to allow him to leave, but it would be in our best interests to have him move abroad, instead of joining Man City in 12 months time for free!

Barca have also been linked with a move to sign former La Masia youth product Hector Bellerin, and we have rebuffed any talk of his exit also. Bellerin is believed to favour a return to Spain however, with his family already having had to return for family reasons. He has a long-term contract with us which we can force him to stick to, but the money available to make their intended signings this summer could see them move strongly.

Aaron Ramsey is another player who has been linked with a possible move to the Nou Camp previously, and he is also into the final 12 months of his contract, which means we may have little to fight about should they come calling.

Should we be worried about losing any of our key players thanks to this crazy summer window?

Ramsey isn’t a key player, and I would happily give him to Barca for free, so finally Wenger cannot pick him! Lets see how Barca get on with their tiki-taka, with Ramsey playing. Would be hilarious watching Ramsey, and Messi in the same team!

Bellerin is safe, as he’s on a long contract, and they’ve signed a RB.

Makes sense to sell Sanchez abroad, if he doesn’t want to stay, and then we wouldn’t strengthen Chel/City.

No… let Barca come.. if they want to pay silly money now their coffers are full then let them… 100mn for Sanchez Bellerin or Ozil.. ! And then use that to go and buy the ones we want at a lower price with younger players who will stay min 3 years so we dont need to buy as much next season

They will concentrate in chasing Coutinho and replacement of Neymar (It could be Mbappe or Lemar). Have several bid rejected by Klopp already. None bid made to Ozil yet. Why splash the cash now when they can get Ozil for free next year?

Off Topic: very soon players will worth from 100Pounds and above. Scary!

Anyway, in as much as I support Barca in Spain due to their style of play, I am somehow glad Neymar is leaving. They are fun of tapping other teams players. Now they are feeling Unsecured …

They already got samedo, they don’t need bellerin, Ramsey? 😂, Sanchez might be a ready mage replacement, but I doubt they will come back for him, before we start dreaming of how they will spend their money, the deal hasn’t gone through yet, barca have accepted, UEFA will investigate the deal, because of FFP

we’re always having to look over our shoulder at the lure of the barca, manchester’, madrid and bayern’s of this world simply by the fact these are the bigger fish able to turn players head by the wave of a cheq.

Unfortunately for us and those operating superior budgets to ours will always fight tooth n nail just to stay in place at the top. Alls we’te doing is fighting for a share of a cssh cake of which the larger part is likely to go to the clubs able to lure the best players.

*Its a case of big fish eats the small in football and I see nothings about to change anytime soon.

Ramsey, Ozil And Sanchez? We Won’t Have Bigger Problems Than We Already Have If We Sold Them And Replaced Them With Naby Keita(ramsey), Mahrez (ozil), And Carrasco(alexis). They’re All Overrated Anyway.

The problem will be Liverpool…as they will get ~90 mill for coutinho they will spend plenty on Lemars and Seris…and than prices go skyhigh for us… we snooze we loose

    1. Who said Arsene can't do grime?

Sad if that is true. He should have been allowed to go back to his previous club.

If Barca are coming for our stars then I hope they take Bellerin , Ozil and Sanchez . We would perfectly compliment Sead Kolasinac with buying Serge Aurier as a Bellerin replacement then get Julian Draxler from PSG for Sanchez and Isco for Ozil . We would have young , hungry players that will have the desire to spur this team to success

the only problem is that that kind of spending only works on fifa. If we swapped the three players that you have mentioned this late into preseason I guarantee you we would become worse due to the chemistry that is required to make a football team. Even lacazette hasn’t fully settle in yet. It takes so so long for attacking players to build up the level of understanding that our players have now. I’m not saying draxler, isco and aurier might not be an improvement (apart from draxler for sanchez) but it would require a complete overhaul of our attack something that even a whole preseason cannot fix. If you want an example take manu, investing however many 100 of million last year and doing nothing with it simply because there was 0 team cohesion. Mark my words this will ultimately be the downfall of man city this year and will be the reason that (as much as I hate to admit it) chelsea will probably retain the title.

Barca doesn’t want any of our players. They linked to Hazard and Cantonio. That’s the type of players that would make their team.

I hear Accrington Stanley have offered us £15 to take him off our hands with an extra 50 pence if we can push the move through before their first match of the season on Saturday:)
