Spurs FA cup win BIG concern for Arsenal’s top 4 hopes

The current season is already one that most Arsenal fans would like to forget about quickly but it could get a lot worse if the shift of power in north London that Tottenham fans have been banging on about and then shutting up about year after year could finally be set to happen, for one year at least.

The Gunners have been in worse situations than we are now compared to our local rivals and have closed quite big gaps to finish above the spuds a few times, so on the surface we should not be too worried at the moment as we sit on the same points and are only below them on goal difference.

What worries me, however, is the respective form of the two teams and the emphatic manner of their win and performance against Fulham at the weekend should have all Arsenal fans worried. As reported by the Evening Standard the Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic was fulsome in his praise of their opponents, specifically talking about the teamwork, togetherness and tenacity of the Tottenham team.

That is about the opposite of what people are saying about Arsenal in recent weeks and unless Wenger and the players turn things around and fast, could this be the season when Gooners do not get to celebrate St. Totteringham’s day?

  1. IF WE ARE A BIG CLUB AS WE CLAIM WE ARE WE SHOULDN’T BE WORRIED OVER SPURS FORM, I DON’T SEE CHELSEA WORRYING OVER SPURS OR ANY OTHER TEAM.. WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT OUR TEAM HAS BECOME THE TEAM MOST TEAMS PRAY TO MEET IN THE SECOND ROUND OF UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT EACH SEASON NOBODY COUNTS US AMONG THE TEAM TO CHALLENGE FOR THE TITLE, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT TEAMS KNOW HOW TO BEAT US, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT WE STILL HAVE SANOGO, WALCOTT, OX, RAMSEY, COQUELIN AND THE REST IN OUR TEAM, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT OUR KEY PLAYERS SPEND MORE TIME WITH THE MEDICS THAN ON THE FIELD, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT WE FALL BY DECEMBER, JANUARY & FEBRUARY EVERY SEASON FOR THE PAST 7-8YRS, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT WENGER WILL STILL BE OUR COACH NEXT YEAR, WE SHOULD BE WORRIED THAT THINGS WONT CHANGE, THE LIST CAN GO ON… LETS STOP WORRYING ABOUT OTHER TEAMS AND TRY TO LOOK FOR A WAY TO SOLVE THE ISSUES IN OUR TEAM..

  2. So we are playing for top four again?
Are we taking it as a trophy?
What if Sp*d finish above us won’t that wake some people up?
Why are we (mostly the Board and Wenger) taking taking these as achievement?
To me we should not be afraid of taking risk. Wenger is declining. Try another option.

  3. The problem with arsenal is that we are always too much concerned about other teams….when those teams lose we don’t take our chances, we’ve totally got the wrong mentality

  4. I fear that once we lose out on the UCL spot, which we most probably will this season, the greedy board will realize that it’s more lucrative to fight for the top five with way cheaper players than Ozil and Sanchez and with a wage structure never reaching 150 K a week. I said a couple of seasons ago that Arsenal is turning into an Everton from London. Just wait and see.
