Striker’s agent confirms Arsenal transfer move

With the Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez due back in the Arsenal team after a short injury lay-off, for the Boxing Day trip to Southampton if not for the big game with Man City tonight, it looks like Arsenal should be able to cope without our other striker in the treatment room Danny Welbeck.

That will not stop a lot of Arsenal fans from calling for Arsene Wenger to get his chequebook out to add more goals to the Gunners squad in the January transfer window. The Frenchman is closing in on a new striker, according to a Metro report, and the player’s agent has even confirmed the interest from Arsenal.

But I would not be getting too excited just yet Gooners, the player in question is not exactly a household name. Not yet anyway, as the Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is still just 16-years old. He is a hot property though, after firing his country to victory in the under 17 World Cup. His agent revealed that despite many clubs wanting his client, Arsenal are one of just two clubs left on the transfer shortlist.

Gaffar Liameed told the press, “We’ve had many offers for Victor.

“But we’ve narrowed it down to Arsenal and Wolfsburg.”

The report goes on to reveal that this list may now just one name left on it, as the young striker has supposedly chosen the Gunners after visiting Germany to check out what Wolfsburg have to offer. But will Osimhen be the only striker that Arsenal sign?

  1. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is the only striker we’ll get. Wenger will tell us Welleck will be like a new signing in January, and then in February he will have another setback until the end of the season. Welcome to the newDiaby

      1. Confirmed he’s out until February due to a setback. But who didn’t see that coming ??! LOL Typical of our British players, can never be relied on due to injuries. We should go for Draxler and in the summer we should go for Aubameyang and Isco

    1. Why exited? Is there any striker that can make you exited who is available? Please don’t tell me Higwain, Cavani or Benzima. They are not better than what we have.

      1. Lewa would make me excited though. Pep going in the summer so maybe there is a chance if he’s unhappy!

  2. Nothing against Welbz but I wished we had managed to sign Griezmann instead back then. He would have slot in nicely on the right…
