Szczesny’s move to Juventus looks like it’s a done deal?

There have been many many Arsenal rumours regarding our two classy keepers that have no chance of supplanting Petr Cech from his Number One spot at the moment, with David Ospina being expected to go to Fenerbahce, while Wojciech Szczesny was closely linked with Napoli until Juventus supposedly stepped in with an offer.

Szczesny’s agent David Manasseh has stuck to protocol by saying that the Pole needs to talk to Arsene Wenger before any decision could be made, which is only right as Chez still has two years to run on his contract with the Gunners. “There is still no agreement with Juventus,” Manasseh was quoted as saying.

“Szczesny has yet to talk with Wenger, who has been confirmed as Arsenal coach for the next two years.”

But now the Roma defender Juan Jesus has given a long and detailed interview with a radio station in his native Brazil, and at one point he was asked about his fellow Brazilian Allison, who was backup keeper to Szczesny in the last campaign, and this is what he declared: “Alisson? He’s fine, unfortunately he’s not played much, only in the Coppa Italia and in the Europa League, but I think he’ll be a starter next season because Szczesny thinks he’s going to Juve.”

So, that sounds pretty conclusive. I am sure Szczesny’s agent wouldn’t have been presumptive enough to be talking to other Italian clubs unless he had been given the all-clear by Wenger. When Le Prof admitted that he had to reduce his ‘heavy’ squad I am sure that he intends to get in as many funds as possible from sales to top up his warchest.

Does that sound like Szczesny to Juventus is a done deal?

  2. BREAKING BAD NEWS!!
(copied and pasted for your disgusted Faces)?

Renowned Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta of Mega and Fox Sports has tonight broken the potentially HUGE huge news that Alexis Sanchez is on his way to Manchester City from Arsenal.

In news that has ‘shocked’ Chile this evening, Solabarrieta confirmed (via Ferplei) that the 28-year-old national star is joining City where he will reunite with his former coach Pep Guardiola.

Few other details are known at this stage, but we can confirm that Solabarrieta is a big name with a good reputation in Chile so this is quite a bombshell he has dropped.

Alexis is one of Man City’s primary targets this summer, but Arsenal’s preference, other than keeping him of course, would be to sell him to Bayern Munich. However, as City Watch was able to disclose the other day, the player and his representatives are in favour of a move to the Etihad.

And if this huge news tonight has any truth, Alexis Sanchez could soon be wearing the sky blue of Manchester City.

More to follow as we get it…

  3. Looks like City will Fork us over twice ??

Arsenal are facing a battle to retain the services of prized young attacker Chris Willock this summer, according to the Standard.

The newspaper report that Manchester City are one of a number of top European clubs circling for the highly-rated 19-year-old, who has just weeks left to run on his current contract.

How the Fork did they let this kids contract run down? ?

    1. Like Southampton are Liverpool’s feeder club, we are Man City’s little bitch. Nothing will change until Kroenke is gone.

      1. Anyway I wish Szczesny all the best. He obviously didn’t get along with Wenger and he will win trophies with Juventus. I don’t know if we need a new keeper though, it’s time for Martinez to step up and be number two. He has looked good when called upon.

  4. Sanchez should be allowed to go if wants but fact that it’s to a rival we should do everything to drag it out as much as possible to disrupt their pre-season preparation.. If they get him early along with their other targets and have them gelled and ready for the new season it could be difficult if not impossible to catch them back for the title.

It’s the exact same reason why Wenger should and must move with urgency in the market to start the season fully prepared and forget about the last minute bargain.. The margin for error will be even smaller next season, so we need to do all we can to be ready for the challenge and also stop others where it’s possible alas city and Sanchez.

  5. Sanchez to man city done 🙁 first bernado Silva and no alexis. Please man bernado, David Silva and debruyne how many play makers does pep need?!
Gutted. Wish he’d left the country can’t bear to watch him glowing in the pl each week.

  6. I would rather us pay Alexis £350,000 per week than sell to our rivals Man City and strengthen them
De Bruyne, Alexis and Aguero not bad

    RVP all over again
We helped United win the Premier League
