Gourcuff still in favour of Arsenal move, whilst Pogba also on radar by Ash
There is a clear indication that Yoann Gourcuff would love to be an Arsenal player, and it is believed that Arsene Wenger has long been an admirer of the Lyon midfielder. So I would not be surprised to hear that the 27-year old France international is going to be the second signing in quick succession, assuming that the reported transfer of Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich goes through as expected of course.
Arsene Wenger has never been a massive fan of the January transfer window, but the increasingly desperate situation at Arsenal, combined with over £35 million burning a hole in his pocket means that he will probably splash out in the new year, and one of those looks like it will be Yoann Gourcuff.
There have been many reports that Arsene Wenger has set his sights on buying a new striker in the January transfer window as cover/replacement for Olivier Giroud, but most of the Arsenal rumours have been centred on big-money players like Radamel Falcao and Fernando Llorente, but is Wenger really going to splash the cash on top players like that?
As the real opening day of the transfer window approaches, I have decided to write a quick post in regards to the latest Arsenal transfer rumours circulating in the media.
There are quite a few players freshly connected with Arsenal, some less likely to be legitimate than others, but bear with me while I list them off.
