BIG relief for Arsenal as Walcott does NOT need more surgery

I felt really sorry for the Arsenal and England international star Theo Walcott when it was revealed last week that the groin problem the forward had picked up on the last international break while training with Roy Hodgson’s squad, may force the unlucky Gunner to undergo yet another operation.

Having had abdominal surgery and then the anterior cruciate ligament treatment that wrecked his campaign last time, this would have been a massive blow to the 25-year old speedster, but it would have been equally bad news for Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger, as the season before had seen Walcott really come into his own and finish the season as the top scorer in the Arsenal squad.

Arsenal rocked as Walcott may need MORE surgery

Everyone concerned with Arsenal was a bit worried when Theo Walcott, who had by that time made just two appearances as a sub after coming back from an operation almost a year ago to fix the anterior cruciate ligament damage picked up in a north London derby in January, was selected by Roy Hodgson to join up with his England team mates.

Arsenal international jinx hits again with Walcott

Noooooooooo. Not again!! Theo Walcott is returning to Arsenal after picking up an injury while training with the England squad for the World cup qualifiers against San Marino tonight and Montenegro on Tuesday. The news is very worrying for Arsenal fans and will be a real concern for Walcott and Arsene Wenger.

The Mirror reports that the 24-year old is suffering from a groin injury and will definitely not be available for The Gunners in the next Premier League match against Reading next weekend. The extent of the injury is not known and he will be assessed back in England.

More injury woe for Arsenal as Koscielny joins list

You couldn’t make it up. Arsenal have been struggling with injuries since the start of the season and it never seems to get any better. The absence of Kieran Gibbs who was injured against West Ham, had a very detrimental effect on the Arsenal defence, just as the Gunners were putting a good run together, and the nervousness spread throughout the team. So it was great to see him back against Aston Villa and, with Sagna finally back, we had a strong defence again.

Bendtner – I’m back and in the best shape ever!

The Arsenal and Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner is extremely pleased to be back in training with the Arsenal team, and is now feeling no more pain from the groin strain that has had him sidelined for the last few months.

He said: “I’m pretty excited and I can not say anything other than that it goes really, really good because I’m going to the club and will now train on a level playing field with the others for the first time.
