Arsenal fans were led to believe a week or so ago that this transfer was all but a done deal for the Gunners. IN fact, it was reported that the young Polish midfielder Krystian Bielik had himself said that he expected the transfer to be completed and that their were just a few loose ends to tie up.
Djourou makes his move permanent away from Arsenal! by Ash
It has been confirmed today on Sky Sports News that Arsenal and Hamburg have reached the agreement to see defender Johan Djourou swap London for Hamburg. The Swiss defender leaves the Gunners for German side Hamburg in what is a permanent move following on from his season long loan deal with the club.
Djourou gives a hint he wants to leave Arsenal permanently! by Ash
Johan Djourou really has become a lost name at Arsenal and although he may not be currently with the club, I still believe he has the ability to remain with the Gunners for a few more years at least.
Most Arsenal fans may not have heard of him, and he is not the striker that many of us feel is the priority for the January transfer window, but the young Hamburg player Hakan Calhanoglu could be swapping the German Bundesliga for the Premier League and Arsenal, according to his agent.
Offers in For Djourou by Ash
Arsenal’s Johan Djourou looks pretty much certain to secure a move away from the Emirates this summer with a number of clubs lining up for the Swiss International’s signature, but whether he will once again be leaving on loan or if in fact it will be a permanent deal this time around is yet to be seen.
Djourou to be involved in a swap deal? by AH
Johan Djourou seems odds on this summer to leave Arsenal with clubs in Germany, France and Spain all keen to secure the players services for next season. The most interest comes from Germany, with both Hannover 96 and Hamburger SV both expressing an interest in Djourou, whilst some Arsenal fans seem to think that perhaps Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler will be involved in any potential deal.
I don’t know how many Arsenal fans agree with me, but I feel a little bit sorry for Johan Djourou. After joining the Gunners as a promising 15-year old in 2002, his career has never really managed to take off as he would have liked. He was not happy being the fourth choice centre back, so Arsene Wenger finally relented last season and let him go on loan to Hannover in the Bundesliga.
Navas, Dragovic and Son is not a removal company by the way, it is three different football players who have been linked with a possible summer transfer switch to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger and the club will have a good idea of the players they want to sign this summer, but a lot could still depend on where we finish in the table.
