There is no doubt that the Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has had his fair share of bad luck and trouble in his short football career. And last season was no different, with more niggling injuries preventing him from having a big impact on the Arsenal season.
Then the Arsenal man was savaged on live TV by the pundit and former Man United star Paul Scholes, who claimed that Wilshere had not progresses at all in the last four years. Harsh? I thought so, especially with the amount of time on the pitch that the 22-year old has missed through injury. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal will still beat Crystal Palace this weekend by KJ
It’s just been announced that Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has agreed to leave the club after a run of seven defeats in eight. He struggled at times in the Championship and although he brought in 14 players, none of them really strengthened the squad he has. He just doesn’t have an eye for talent and the fact that Arsenal misfit Marouane Chamakh was one of his big summer signings is all you need to know about the state both Holloway and Palace were in. .......Read the full article here
I personally don’t ever want to see the Stupid Fat Dane Nicklas Bendtner playing for Arsenal again, but it seems that despite his non-scoring, bimbo-loving, fast-car lifestyle, Arsene Wenger has decided to keep him at Arsenal to make up the numbers.
The removal of the deadwood continues at a rapid rate for Arsenal. It has already reported that Gervinho is close to a move to Italy and the latest so-called misfit to be leaving the club seems to be the Moroccan international striker Marouane Chamakh.
The 29-year old looked like he would never make it in the Premier League, with his loan move to West Ham last season resulting in just three appearances and no goals. Chamakh is to be given one more chance, apparently, after Crystal Palace decided not to take Carlton Cole but want the Arsenal man instead, The Sun reports. .......Read the full article here
Arsene Wenger has opened the door for Manchester United to secure the services of Arsenal transfer target and fan of the Gunners, Wilfried Zaha. Wenger has declared that he wants to get the Theo Walcott contract situation sorted out before he makes any new signings, so Alex Ferguson is preparing to launch a bid today or tomorrow for the Crystal Palace winger.
Ian Holloway is resigned to losing his young star in the summer but has already stated that he would like his future to be resolved so that it does not play on the mind of Zaha and affect his performances. United are willing to let the 20-year old stay at Selhurst Park for the rest of the season if Palace accept an offer of just £6 million, according to the Daily Mail. .......Read the full article here
Arsenal may have missed out on another of their transfer targets. There are reports that Manchester United are about to agree terms with Crystal Palace over the transfer of their winger Wilfried Zaha. Tottenham seem to have accepted defeat in their challenge for the England international, and the silence from Arsenal has been deafening, leaving the way clear for Alex Ferguson to complete the signing. .......Read the full article here
Wilfried Zaha is an Arsenal fan and was soon going to be an Arsenal player if newspaper reports are true. The Crystal Palace manager, Ian Holloway, complained again this week about Arsene Wenger. Holloway is upset about what he percieves as Wenger’s attempts to destabilise the young winger, even though Wenger has done nothing but answer a question posed by a journalist.
Palace have issued denials that Zaha will leave, but they have sounded increasingly desperate, suggesting that they knew they were going to lose the England international. Now it seems that Alex Ferguson has stuck his oar in and will offer Palace the opportunity to keep Zaha for the season if they agree to sell him to United. .......Read the full article here
Arsene Wenger has rubbed Ian Holloway, manager of Crystal Palace and Gollum lookalike, up the wrong way by admitting his interest in making Wilfried Zaha an Arsenal player. Asked years ago on Soccer Saturday who would play him in a film, the eccentric Holloway suggested the Lord of the Rings character, and he is continuing the analogy with his obsession about his precious, the £20 million rated winger.
“Why is he talking about my players? I don’t think that’s right and proper, with the greatest respect.
