QPR manager Mark Hughes has obviously heard about the alleged interest from Arsenal in one of his star players, because the Welshman has issued an all points, hands off statement warning the Gunners and any other potential suitors off the Moroccan international Adel Taarabt.
Arsenal are one of a number of Premier league teams who are looking at the Crystal Palace youngster Wilfried Zaha. The 19-year old is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Tottenham, but Palace are either trying to put off buyers or seeking alot more money than he is currently worth, stating that around £20 million is the price tag for a player untried in the top division.
Arsenal’s tiny London rivals QPR may be at the bottom of the League without a win so far this season, but after an improved performance in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Everton, Adel Taarabt believes that they can now build on that against Arsenal next week.
The QPR boss Neil Warnock is desperate for his star player Adel Taarabt to remain at Loftus Road to give them the best chance of remaining in the Premiership, but he fully expects him to find another club, and believes that he wants to join “his friends” at Arsenal despite having an offer from the newly-rich PSG in France.
Arsenal Contact Adel Taarabt By Max Baker
The Queen’s Park Rangers’ attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt has been contacted by both Arsenal and Chelsea about a possible move.
“I had contact with Arsenal and Chelsea, but it is a little muddled. Arsenal have not yet sold Cesc Fabregas, and as for Chelsea, they do not yet have a coach, so we will see,” Taarabt said.
The QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt was the undisputed star at Loftus Road last season and was voted Championship Player Of The Year, and Neil Warnock is well aware that he will have trouble keeping Taarabt out of the clutches of a top club, and according to the Star, Arsenal are one of those interested.
