Why Paulista is PERFECT transfer for Arsenal

Arsenal have yet to wrap up the transfer deal to bring Gabriel Paulista from his La Liga club Villareal to the Emirates and the Premier League, but everything points to it happening in the next few days. The Brazilian player, his current coach Marcelino and even Arsene Wenger have admitted to the talks going on and that seems to be that, as far as I’m concerned.

Wenger CONFIRMS transfer plans! Paulista a DONE DEAL?

It is not like Arsene Wenger to tell the football media anything at all about his Arsenal transfer plans. All the Frenchman usually says is something along the lines of, we are working hard, it is difficult and there is no point signing any players just for the sake of it.

And it is January as well, the transfer window that the boss likes about as much as an ince cube down the back of his jumper on a wintery British day. So when I heard the Frenchman being so forthcoming about the transfer talks that are going on between the Gunners and Villareal about the Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista, I instantly assumed that the deal is all but done.

La Liga boss CONFIRMS defender’s likely transfer to Arsenal

After being the subject of some Arsenal transfer rumours in recent weeks, the Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista, who is currently starring for La Liga club Villareal, spoke out to welcome the interest from the Gunners. The 24-year old said that the whole thing was being handled by his agent, but he made no secret of wanting the transfer to happen, as a report in The Telegraph reveals.

Paulista said, “If I go to Arsenal it will be excellent. But if it’s not finalised then I am relaxed. I am focused on my work here.

Arsenal MUST NOT sell Cazorla to Man City

I know that the title of this article sounds obvious, but there were rumours yesterday that Arsenal’s Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla could be one of the first targets for the new manager at Manchester City, assuming that the rumours are true and it is going to be Manuel Pellegrini from Malaga.

Pellegrini clearly did not want to sell Cazorla to Arsenal last summer, but the financial starits that Malaga were in left him no choice. He said at the time that the 15 million euros we paid for the Spanish international was an awful bit of business by Malaga and was like a gift. And we all say thank you ver much Manuel, or should that be Muchas Gracias?

Why Cazorla has become so important to Arsenal

Santi Cazorla fits into the Arsenal way of playing like a hand in a glove, and has become a vital and integral part of the Gunners. The Spaniard has played in every single Premier league game this season, starting all but one of them. He also started all the Champions league games except the final one where Arsene Wenger rested a lot of players.
