The Chelsea boss admits he is keen on Arsenal star

There have been many big bets laid on the Arsenal transfer rumours that our superstar Alexis Sanchez could be keen to join Chelsea ,after his quoted comments while he was on international duty with Chile, and it was obvious that the Blues boss Antonio Conte was going to be quizzed on his thoughts about Alexis after today’s home Chelsea defeat by Crystal Palace.

This was his quoted response: “I think it’s very disrespectful of players from other teams (to talk about this), but for sure, he’s a top player. I can say this.

“But I don’t like to talk about players from other teams because it’s disrespectful for the players of other teams, other clubs and my own players.

“For us the most important thing is for us to try and finish this League and try to win. Then, once this season is finished, with the club together we will talk about the right way to try and improve our team and our squad.

“That will be very important, but I don’t see any problems about this. This club has great ambitions. It was so in the past, and it will be so in the future. I’m very happy to be coach of this club.”

Conte’s comments about Chelsea having “great ambitions” seems to echo Alexis’ comment that he wants to play for a London team with a “winning mentality”, and Conte will surely know that Sanchez would improve an already great team like Chelsea’s, so perhaps those rumours could be true?

  1. Regardless of what most people say, it broke my heart to se Nasri wearing Sky Blue, RvP wearing Devil Red, Fabregas wearing Blue…the list is a long one.
    Imagine Sanchez wearing Blue…
    More heat break?
It’s hard being a Gooner sometimes.

    1. It broke your heart to see these? They went on to such illustrious careers! Oh how I yearn for Nasri! My little boy spirit bursts for RVP! And Fabregas. Another lackadaisical walk…no, sorry, it’s Fabregas. If your Arsenal heart isn’t broke by now, you’re a happy old man on boner pills.

  2. As great as Sanchez is, I’m not even sure that he would be an automatics starter at Chelsea. Maybe an impact sub ?

    1. Alexis was ahead of Pedro at Barca. What about Moses, Alexis could play there too, I think he’d definitely play, and they wouldn’t be wanting him if that wasn’t the case.

      1. I agree Alexis is better than Pedro, but with Willian, Hazard, Costa, Kante, Matic, Moses and bloody Fabregas on bench….

    2. How great is Chelsea? Let’s be honest, they play one game a week and no one has fought them. Unfortunately, the real fight right now is between the shamed powers: Liverpool, Manure, and Arsenal. Fight for the top 4. To say Alexis wouldn’t be a starter on Chelsea, you’re an idiot. Logic of Tittle Totts

  3. It’s always easier to speak respectfully when you are in such an enviable position. Although, Mourihno never saw it that way. Conte looks cool as a cucumber, haven’t seen him rattled once when speaking, Wenger might have met his oratorical match here. I’ve never heard Wenger say anything like “only one team in London”, coming from him this is sounding a slight desperate.
