The rebuilding of Arsenal has already begun….

The Rebuilding Phase has already started

Our club is at an important stage of rebuilding, both on pitch and behind the scenes, like fitness, scouting and footballing affairs. Everyone knows about the huge amount of signings to the backroom staff done by Arsenal in the last 2 years and that unlike our player signings, these were signing of the best people around. There are reports that Gazidis has tripled the amount of staff which proves that he is indeed preparing Arsenal for the Post-Wenger era. With Gazidis (who was wanted by Man City) being one of the best in the administrative role and Raul Sanllehi in charge of footballing affairs, 2 of the 3 most important roles in the club are occupied by the best people around. As you have guessed 3rd role is the manager.

Wenger will most likely leave in the next 2 years which would mean a huge overhaul of the training staff (who Gazidis was unable to sack and get better people since Wenger protected his outdated staff like the outdated manager he is) which if handled by Gazidis, Sanllehi and the new manager will be the best available. With a progressive coach who will accept the distribution of responsibilities instead of hogging all the power, it will bode well for the future of our club, plus with Mertesacker in charge of the club academy, lazy players such as Iwobi will be weeded out despite their obvious talent.

This brings us to the playing staff, in the last 2 years some of the deadwood (aka players) with no contribution have been released or sold but there is still some left like Perez or Campbell. A look at our squad will reveal that we have 5 important players (Cech, Monreal, Koscielny, Santi, Giroud) all 31 or above this year. Ozil, Wilshere and Alexis are out of contract. Walcott and Coquelin have been frozen out. Young players like Iwobi, Chambers and Holding are stagnating after promising starts. A HUGE MONSTROUS WORK awaits a new manager, though he will have good young players like Bellerin, Kolasinac, Lacazette, Ramsey and Mustafi to rebuild our Arsenal. Plus he will have a mostly clean slate to work with, so it is pretty much up to Gazidis and Sanllehi to get us a strong coach.

We will need great patience from our fans in one of the most delicate phases of our history.

Onward and upward Arsenal

  1. We have been rebuilding for decades and ages……

Arsene always talk about rebuilding. It’s becoming boring.

    We want our Arsenal back!

    1. Rebiulding since 2006!This is slow death not rebiulding.Only a mad player will join Arsenal now under wenger.

  2. I don’t have time to watch Arsenal’s slow rebuilding process, which could take several years. The other big clubs are more aggressive when rebuilding, splashing cash and sold/ fired their deadwoods.

If Arsenal really serious in rebuilding, they should get new players in this month, before the club’s image falls even further. They have much more money than the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, it is a matter of their seriousness in fast rebuilding.

If no drastic actions taken in this month, I consider these people to just want to milk as much money as they can from the fans, before saying sayonara.

  3. We’re we not rebuilding when we built the stadium and after they told us we can compete with anyone?
Until wenger is gone and then kronkie my money stays in my pocket
As they say a fool and his money are easily parted. I wonder where have all the AKB gone recently?

  4. You would of thought with being given another 2 year extension (although not deserved with my eyes) Wenger would of gone out all guns blazing and tried to rectify his mistakes and do something different, get rid of the players who didn’t want to sign, bring in fresh faces, worked on our defensive issues, tried a different approach and dropped out of form players, yet he stayed the same, he doesn’t deserve to enter the final year his of contract, I’ve no doubt he will make it to the end of the season but if he is not released by the board, he should bow out gracefully for the good of Arsenal. If he loves the club surely he must see he is the man that can take us forward.

  5. Every club goes through rebuilding…

City has already gone through it since Pep arrived….

17 players signed, over 350m spent…….if not for FFP the amount could escalate to over 500m and more……

The 17 players does not include the existing De Bruyne, Aquero, Kompany and etc…..

This would not happen under Kroneke….Arsenal is run on a tight budget not petrol dollar

    1. Tight budget? Arsenal is second richest football club in the world, only poorer than Manchester City:

      standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-have-more-financial-muscle-than-real-madrid-manchester-united-and-chelsea-says-study-a3731576.html

PSG bought Neymar, Manchester United purchased Pogba, Real Madrid got Bale and Liverpool bought Van Dijk, even though they are poorer than Arsenal. Please stop posting comments that Arsenal is running on tight budget, where in fact their ticket is the most expensive one in England.

        1. Only way to do that would be illegal.
The next best thing is to sack that dinosaur and get somebody who can coach, motivate, is tactically aware, man manage and pick a player.

  6. Yes very big changes
    underway this season
    at Arsenal FC.
    Who is gone already?
    Chamberlain @”Pool Gabriel +Coquelin@ Valencia Gibbs @WBA
Sanogo? Cazorla (injury) returned to Spain
    Who is going?
Sanchez. to City. Mertz retiring. Koz (Archilles) retiring
That’s 9 changes already we know of.
Who is probably going in the summer?
Debuchy Monreal Giroud. All these guys will go I believe.
Lucas Perez @Deportivo not wanted. Will go.
Campbell @Real Betis out of contract in June. Will go.
    That’s 14.
Can we afford to lose any more? Probably not.
So although I think Walcott Jenkinson and Wellbeck should should all go
they may be retained for their experience and because they are all quota players.
Ozil and Wilshere are out of contract in June.
Jack will want to stay for ever we know that.
Ozil going home to Schalke for free after the world cup is a real possibility
so I think we should consider selling him now to man U for 30m.
We need a new number 1 keeper soon so making a call
on 35 year old Cech has to be made.
Will Mr Arsenal step down in the summer
allowing the new manager to be part of the rebuild?
    Who would know.

    1. Yes I think it would be wise to sell Ozil now and get that 35M. We may force him to stay and then he picks a 3 month injury..that would be really dumb for us. Sell Ozil and Sanchez.

  7. i think ozil And wilshere will sign “da thing”.Same thing applies for Ramsey.Holding Chambers Iwobi will come good.We must find a remplacement for alexis Pavon? Malcolme?.
AS for Wenger he will be gone sooner or later.the probleme we have is that we’r not able to compete financelly with frauds like shity and chelshit. any manager would find it difficult(even mourinho is moaning about spending power after spending THREE tIMES the amount of money we spend since he’s at manure).

  8. we have, knowing that, a single choice:building an excellent academy like La masia.Even at this we’r not better than our rivals ( don’t get me wrong we’v a Good but not an EXCELLENT one). The scouting also has to be better .when you know that Chelsea had Salah and Debruyne in their ranks it’s tell you the progress we have to make in this area(in this one we don’t have the excuse of lack of money:young players are usually cheap).Hope this Milisnat guy will improve our scouting.

    1. When we sign young players “the irrational horde” here go gaga complaining why it wasn’t Neymar that we rather bought. When a young player is signed by another club and he succeeds (Mbape, Dembele), the same horde goes gaga again and ask why we “never bothered to put in a bid”.

In Ferguson’s voice “The irrational horde were born in a whining position”.

  9. Rebuilding??? What has Wenger been doing the past 13+ years?

This is insanity to trust Wenger to start building again….innit

We need to start rebuilding from the foundations. We obviously can’t replace Kroenke. But replace Wenger with Allegri or Ancelloti. Hell, at this point id accept Benitez. He helped Liverpool win Champions League.

  10. Changing from current above average to below average……….something is wrong to keep doing the same thing over and over again without any improvements………….there are obvious low confidence in the whole team on the pitch……….all the players seemed scared of making mistakes……..no individuality molded into the team,………no one dares shoot cos they don’t want to lose the ball…….and worse they don’t want to be the cause of a goal…………Wenger appears spent…….tired……..inept………and wrongly arrogant that he can still get it right…….yes he failed to get a major trophy………..truth is he got his trophy……….which is what he brought to Arsenal and English Premier League………and both have always been grateful……..and forever be grateful………..and now WENGER LEAVING is the change that Arsenal needs…………Arsenal has the players who with the right coach will overachieve like Man City……….

  11. Unfortunately years of arrogance, poor training, inactivity during transfer windows, inability to change and above all very poor management has seen Arsenal enter a very dark & long tunnel with no light in sight. It will take years for the club to recover. As recently proved against Nottingham Forest our 2nd eleven would struggle in the Championship. Which top player anywhere in the world, who has aspirations of playing in big tournaments & winning trophies would willingly come to Arsenal. I am betting not to many. The talk of rebuilding is great but we Arsenal fans are going to have to be very patient.

  12. When talking about patience it is about the new manager that i want the fans to be supportive and patience. Wenger has created such a mess intentionally( the amount of mistake is too much to be either stupidity or coincidence) that the new manager will most likely need time to solve. If pep had to have 1 year plus 400m to rebuild an ageing city squad, with less transfer budget(blame kroenke not me) we would need at least 3 years to challenge for the title.
