Thierry Henry to sign again for Arsenal on January 1st

It is being reported this morning that Arsene Wenger is intending to kick off the Jnuary transfer window in style by announcing the signing of Thierry Henry for the THIRD time in his career.

The Mail says that Arsenal already have the agreement of Henry’s bosses at the New York Red Bulls, and the ongoing talks are only about the length of the loan, with Wenger asking to keep Henry for longer than last years stay, maybe even until the end of the season….

Last year Henry made his debut in Arsenal’s FA Cup Third Round tie against Leeds United and it appears that Wenger wants the Arsenal legend to start again in the same game, although this year’s opponents are the Premiership surprise team Swansea, who beat Arsenal just last week in the League.

Against Leeds, Henry only replaced Marouane Chamakh in the 68th minute with the score at 0-0, but within ten minutes he had a fairytale start by scoring the winning goal of the game. Can he have the same effect again this time around?

    Great! King is always welcome.

Does this mean we wont buy another striker and not give Walcott the money? That would be horrible.

Henry would make a good sub for the last 15-20 minutes…

he will go in there and give Giroud or Ox a good slap if they are not performing….

Arsenal lack some experience and leadership in the team….

Rvp United has the Pensioners Giggs and Scholes to guide and shout….

Age is just a number when you have someone of Henry’s class…expect the Emirates to rumble with cheers when he comes on the pitch the first time..

It is always good to have the king of Goals back to the grove. However, let’s not kid ourselves, we will still need another striker.

I know we are keen on BA but left to me, I will go for Adrian Lopez or Loic Remy for 2 main reasons :

    1. Both are fast, skillful and versatile.

    2. Both can play as CF and on the wings which means we will not have to worry about another Winger if Walcott leaves which is looking increasingly likely now.

King Henry is back! Just hope this has nothing to do with us getting a striker. Maybe he can convince Theo to sign

I/we LOVE the legendary Titi and welcome him back with open arms but he is not what we need. If we’re honest we NEED a Titi replacement year round. Either give Theo his chance or sign another top striker. And have a serious think about changing our formation to make the most of what we have.

Good. That is the perfect morale booster. He has been there and done that. He has won everything playing in the two best leagues in the world. He may not be a long term striker but it seems we can only afford to take things one season at a time in arsenal. I hope we get him for longer than six weeks. Henri is a game changer and will put away all the chances that Gervinho and Giroud keep fluffing. We know that there will be more arrivals but Henri’s confirmation is a decent start. I wish he will finish the rest of his career with us. We need that scholes and giggs figure in our dressing room. We need continuity and stability.

Whilst will be great to have King Henry back it is a stop gap option and short term. We MUST sign a top goal scorer, a poacher a player who can make something out of nothing! Rumours appear that Huntelaar is on his way, but, we definetly need 1 more great striker. Demba Ba would be magnificent and reasonable with buy out clause! wages 70k p/w also good as he is a proven striker/finisher.
Winger: Lopez and Zaha can fill that role and it seems Walcott on his way.
DM is imperative, the likes of Strootman, Capoue, Yanga Mbiwa, Diame can all be obtained for the muscle we need. Watched Fellaini yesterday and he is a beast, but will be difficult to get.
sagna story up in air but we need cover at LB. Maybe Yanga M biwa as he can cover LB as well or get 2 DM’s so can cover LB as well as Diaby will be on his back regularly, pity.
We have to get these positions covered and squad strengthened to ensure top 4 finish, Capital Cup and FA cup hopefully in trophy cabinet.
It is no longer negotiable and I believe Wenger realises that he has to change squad and sell non performers-Bendtner, Chamakh, Squillaci, Park, Arshavin, Djourou who are just plain and simply not good enough for tough EPL.
Hope this all happens or at least 3 of the above options.

The king is always welcome even if he will help on the so definitely he will help off pitch, but we need to invest in another CF apart from him (permanent one) like klaas, lorente, cavani or even R. Falcao to surprise us and the world too lolzz +CDM like M’villa, biglia, martinez, etc

I have mixed feelings about this Huntelaar business. First of all, Arsenal always have to be cheapskate and buy players when they are on a free. They put the situation over the quality of the player. I do not doubt Huntelaars ability, but I really believe we need a different type of striker. Still, he would be better than what we currently have. No offense to our tall frenchman, but we need more firepower up front.

D addition of henry is great to d squad bt still we are short of 1 more attacker,to me Ba will be another great addition to d squad than huntlar becos Ba will be able to play or feature 4 us in d champions league.Ba is an epl proven striker, physically good in d air and on d ground, right footed striker, with goals ability.Ba is d quality needed in arsenal squad presently.wenger should go 4 Ba now before liverpool snatch him from our nose.wenger should also buy a defensive midfielder,so dat arteta can move forward to join d attack.
