Two Arsenal stars celebrating with Top awards

After his stunning start to his third season as an Arsenal player, many people are starting to tip the Germany international Mesut Ozil for the Premier League Player of the Year award. There is a lot of time and a lot of football to be played before then, but if the 27-year old keeps going as he has been doing he is sure to improve quite a bit on his two goals and 12 assists.

Ozil’s brilliance has at least been rewarded this week, as Sky Sports have reported that he was won the Player of the Month award for November ahead of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy and Man United defender Chris Smalling.

Vardy is one the few players that looks able to challenge Ozil for the annual vote and another is another Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez. Currently out for a short time with injury, the Chilean has recovered from a slightly slow start to the season to remind everyone what a great signing he was.

It is not just us Arsenal fans who appreciate him either, as The Guardian reveals that Alexis has beaten the likes of Harry Kane, Vardy and Segio Aguero to win the fans’ vote for the best player of 2015.

Sanchez said, “I’m delighted to receive the FSF Player of the Year award. Personally, it’s been a great 2015 for me on the pitch with both my club and country. Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the season and it was disappointing to pick up an injury. But I’m hoping to be back soon to help my team-mates have another successful year.”

We hope so too mate but you are going to have to go some to beat Ozil to the PFA award in May. Which Arsenal star, if any, do you think will win it?
