Video: Incredible skit shows legend of Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud

Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud picked up the FIFA Puskas Award for his scorpion kick last season, but one fan has gone the extra mile to create an incredible mini-movie highlighting the amazing goals he has scored since joining our club.

The Frenchman has come under scrutiny in his time with our club, with him failing to hit the 20 goal mark in the Premier League for a single campaign as of yet, but he has never actually been close to playing every minute of our league campaigns either.

Many of the goals he has scored are simply amazing, as highlighted in this video, and you can pick out your favourites.

The skit clearly comes with some tongue-in-cheek humour which has to be appreciated, but does he get enough credit for the ability he adds to our squad? Which goal is your favourite?

  1. Whereever it is taken from I think it is nicely made. Maybe if he does show this video to his grandkids they won’t think he was better than pele but certainly one of the best in terms of the style with which he played, than most other CF’S as his technique and ability to find the perfect place to put the ball in the back of the net are both worth admiring….

  2. i see no tongue in cheek here. every word uttered was entirely true and this video is the only source of Giroud based information necessary to be produced or posted online.

  3. OG should never have left the starting 11. Running behind defenders is dangerous for a cf but also every time a cross comes in he is dangerous.
Wish he and Laca could of played togetherthis year.

  4. Taken overall Giroud has been a success at Arsenal and he has stayed mostly as first choice for many years now. His personal tragedy, which would have elevated him in effectiveness tremendously, is his pedestrian pace. Real pace is so vital in todays Prem and is thr entire reason I have always wanted Merts sold. You can be brilliant at almost all aspects of driving a Formula One car,l but if just your steering is sub-standard, then you are useless. I would never buy any player whose pace is naturally slow, for that reason.

  5. I’ll tell a story of Giroud to my grand kids about his greatness and how frustrating he was on the pitch.

I’ll always thank you Giroud for what you’ve done and still doing for ArsenalFc.

    God bless you.

  6. Woooooow.
This is a great skit. Although, I was expecting his towering against Manchester United last season. It wasn’t part of the collection. Honestly, Giroud is a great player and what he does for arsenal is magical. I believe in no time, his hard work will be rewarded.
