Walcott will get £3m bonus when he signs new Arsenal contract!

Happy New Year, Theo. The Arsenal board have stopped messing about and will give the England international around £90,000 a week on a five year deal which the 23-year old could sign as early as this week. Walcott has proved his worth as a central striker to a sufficient extent to convince Arsene Wenger that he must remain a Gunner, and he will get a signing on bonus of around £3 million according to the Daily Mail.

Wenger has insisted that the board cannot let another of our top players go. It is ridiculous that it has taken this long, because Walcott and Wenger essentially wanted the same thing. Theo accepts that he will not always play through the middle, but he is happy that Wenger has seen that he can do it and he should improve steadily.

Once the fastest mouse in all of North London puts pen to paper, it will be a boost to the rest of the Arsenal players and will allow Wenger to concentrate fully on who else to bring in to the club, and how to plan for the future. It will also mean that Wenger will not have to worry about losing Walcott late in the January transfer window when there is no time to replace him.

Hopefully the announcement will soon be released on the official Arsenal website. Theo has got what he wants, so there should be no more delay.

    Good news, when, he signs….

If nothing else, at least it shows intent. Just hope we still bring a couple more players in, or maybe just one, but use coquelin and frimpong as some steel in the midfield.

f*cking finally we now have a solid foundation of english talent and that we are able to build around, no more contract issues and the only speculation we have to hear about are players coming to us, thank u arsenal board finally something to cheer about now tell santos to f*ck off, promote meade, loan ramsey, BUY NANI, buy diame, bring home the FA cup and 4th place and next season we can finally challenge for the title

He’s matured into a fine player this year.

Despite protracted negotiations, has been exceptionally professional and delivered on the pitch. If the deal gets done- confidence between club and player can only grow.

Arsenal can then build their future around a nucleus that includes Jack and Theo over the next 5 years = great future = great business.

    Theo: Sign it!

If Theo wants more central that’s fine have him make runs right off Giroud’s shoulder. His head flicks should land at Theos’s feet if he plays off his shoulder and same with Poldi. OG is perfect for our attack as long as our backs from the side and cb from the front use him as a target. Just need a DM that can shut down but also make long passes to Theo Poldi and OG.

I’m actually more interested in seeing what Wenger does once Theo signs. I’ll be happy if Theo signs with ample time left in the transfer window. I’m serious, I can’t take any more of this. DO SOMETHING CONCRETE. Show us fans you’re willing to give it everything you’ve got to give us the results we all so crave. GOONERS FOR LIFE!!!

just like with Samir Nasri’s contract issues – Theo’s contract issues have caused us to take our attention away from some other serious issues – we need another striker, we need a DM and we need to strengthen our defense! Theo – be a bit considerate …sign

Good…We need Walcott…lol without him our attack would be stuck in neutral…We need his pace.

    Zaha and M’Villa in.

Cant rely on Ox and Ramsey as our Wingers, but we could push Santi out there.

Turan is nice but not all that pacey.

Cmon Wenger. Dont go out as a PUSS eee :)

Every week they announce something about a new deal in the papers but he still hasn’t signed.Theo’s best mate in the press John Cross(The Mirror) says that the deal is on the table but he won’t sign imminently.Which basically means that they will string this out a bit of news each week, each time more details of the deal will leak, then in the 4th week he will probably sign. And we all know by that time it will be too late too sign any1.

Santos is much better playing as LW than LB…hes on his way out anyway…Meade has done well deserve a chance…not to mention Barca trainee Bellerin tooo as LB

Diame would be a much better signing than overrated Mvila but hes injured….would prefer an older and more experienced DM though

Nani has the experience but lack consistency…a player that require hair dryer treatment everygame…

He’s still not worth it! What happened to Theo after the hattrick? Where was he the last 2 games? He did F*ck all! Theo never likes to run to defend, he only runs to attack. How many tackles or interceptions do people see Walcott achieve? LOL, its been that long that I don’t remember! Honestly, when was the last time anyone say Theo play defence? I’ve never seen him perform a sliding tackle! I’ve never seen him track back like Rooney. I’ve never seen the kid do anything else but wait for cherry-pickings. Theo is a HOAX OF A PRO FOOTBALL PLAYER. HE IS A PRETENDER, A SHEEP DRESSED IN WOLVES CLOTHING, A KID WHO WANTS TO BE A MAN BUT STILL PLAYS LIKE A KID.

not sure but i think i’m probably the only one who is not excited by theo’s contract extension, if we wanted to show our ambition as a big club everyone knows who we should have persuaded or maybe forced to stay, the important thing right now is to stop the decline in arsenal’s performances all needs immediate action the team’s pitch performance transfer market or handling of players,we have teens at the academy who are better than gervinho but they won’t get a start ahead of him although we are known to always introduce young talents to the first team, players hold us ransom while there are better options on the market(walcott attitude stinks and you have players like Ben Arfa or Isco in the market),a 16 million limit on the transfer while the sum of the pounds spent on flops transfers and wages could run a successful championship club……… its getting so complicated to the point where most of the gunners supporters are just hoping this season passes by and we somehow get a top 4 finish…………….it will be the same next season if not worse and that should not be the case

I think its only fair that he receives a similar amount to what Poldi gets.

This needs to be put to bed, we can then finally take a step back and see which positions need to be filled besides the dm and def.

Neither is Rooney but he runs back to defend doesn’t he? Walcott just prances around like a show-pony. Walcott is extremely lazy. You guys complained about Arshavin not running back, but I’ve seen the Russian make more sliding tackles or at least attempt to more often than Walcott! That’s a fact! I’ve been saying all along Walcott is crap. There’s nothing to prove on that point. I just dislike people like you hyping the boy like he’s some footballing deity. Get over it. We need quality, not some kid we’ve invested 9M and has improved as much a eff all in 7 years! Wake up kid, Walcott is not the answer, never was and never will be!

It won’t be easy but we need a clear out.

    Fabianski*
    Squid*
Djourou (yeah on loan but he needs to go completely)
    Santos*
    Ramsey*
Rosicky*(I like him but too many injuries and getiing old)
Diaby* (Very good but practically disabled)
    Arshavin*
    Gervinho*
    Bendtner (same situation as Djourou)
    Denilson
    Miyagi
    Chu Young
    Chamahk

Not easy to do but these players are not our future. There are a few promising talents in the reserves (Eisfeld and Gnabry) but for us to compete we need a squad with more quality. Due to loan deals only eight of the list above are listed as our 25 first team players (marked with an asterix).

Perhaps Wenger needs to bite the bullet and release a few of them on frees if there are no takers.

If he does that though, he knows the board will not be happy. Questions like ”so all these players you bought are not good enough?” will be hard to justify.

The Theo situation is typical Arsenal. Ridiculous that it’s dragging on so much.

Just pay him. Remember 21 games 14 goals and 10 assists.

lets just hope that his plays deserve this money. i won’t accept amnesia from fans who screamed “sign Da Thing” when he becomes less than stellar. you all aggressively campaigned for this big contract he “deserves”. if in 2 years this doesn’t work out this one is on all of you. not wenger. you cannot call him deadwood. you can’t ask for him to be sold and till 2017 you have to support and accept him. I’m just saying. because i am sure if theo becomes injury prone or loses form there will be people who will pretend that Wenger was mad and irresponsible to let as they have in the past quoted “given big contracts to average players at young ages”
