Wales v Serbia Preview: Aaron Ramsey will be keen to impress

The Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey may have only played a couple of half games for the Gunners since returning from his hamstring injury sustained in our opening match against Liverpool, but he is certain to start tonight for Wales against Serbia in the crucial World Cup Qualifying game.

Ramsey was brilliant for his country in their run to the World Cup Qualifiers, but his suspension for that game certainly contributed to their defeat against Russia, but with this being his first game for Wales since then he will be keen to get back to winning form, and impress Arsene Wenger while he is at it.

If you check out the latest football news from you will find that the Wales v Serbia match is expected to be close, with Chris Coleman’s team being slight favourites at 6/4 due to their home advantage, so this is giving us an excellent price for Ramsey to score the first goal at a brilliant 15/2.

Coleman believes that Ramsey is a world class player, and there is no doubt in his mind. The Welsh manager said: “Being without him for the first three games was a blow for us,”

“It’s my opinion there’s not a team on the planet he couldn’t play for when he’s at his best.

“That’s not a biased opinion because I’m a Welshman and we all love Rambo.

“I’m looking at it clinically, because playing in the tournament against the top teams, he was head and shoulders above.”

So with Ramsey approaching full fitness and his manager bestowing great compliments on the Arsenal midfielder, he will be extremely keen to prove his worth ahead of Arsenal’s game against Man United next week. He always plays well for the Welsh Dragons so let’s cheer him on, and I am really hoping he scores the first goal!
