Watford will be a tough nut for Arsenal to crack

In Arsenal’s last away League game we managed to score five past a previously unbeaten Leicester side, but our trip up to Watford could prove to be even more difficult. The Hornets may just have been promoted but they are holding ther own off the back of some fine defensive performances.

After four home games their records reads: Scored 1 Conceded 1. The only two teams to score two goals against them this season are Man City and Everton, and both of those were away games. In fact the last time they conceded more than one goal in a home game was back in February!

None of this should worry Arsenal though as we are in such fine form, and we will have a deep knowledge of the way they play as our very own Hector Bellerin spent three months on loan at Vicarage Road. He said ahead of this match: “I had a good two months there and still see a lot of them. I’m in touch with Troy [Deeney] and a few of the others.

“It will be very nice to be back at the Vic. I think they can stay up in the league, they have the right team for it. They are a tough team to play against, they are a young team who like to play with the ball so I’m happy they have started well.”

Quique Sánchez Flores’ team have adapted well to the rigours of the Premier League and are proving hard to beat, but one factor in the Gunners favour is all four of our previous League meetings have ended with Arsenal wins.

So be confident but don’t expect Watford to be broken down easily. They should be more competitive than Man United…

  1. Alot of guys(including me) are buzzing with our players performances for their national teams, but i still cannot understand how some think that the Watford game will be a walk in the park…I expect a tough game-think we will need to finish of this game as early as possible cause our players may fake abit in the later stages of the 2nd half, since most of our players have been involved in internationals and most of their players had enough time to rest.
But a Watford game is not one that we can afford to loose points on if we want to be real contenders for the PL..

  2. I just have to say we have a world class attack system.
    1. Walcott with deadly speed. Gives our attack a fear factor. He just have to time run better to beat the offside trap, after that he’ll become awesome
    2. Santo cazrola , the task master. He assigns passes which really makes in control of the attacking third
    3. Ramsey …a little bit of this a little bit of that.. Does make decent dribbles makes some sublime passes , shoots from far makes good sprint , more like a all in one tool kit. Juzz need a goal
    4. The Eye…A very key man in our attack
His moves his passes damn they are the best in Europe. Every pass his like dagger stab from behind
5 And Alexis Sanchez ….. He it the Pain

    1. arsenal 2 1 barcelona

as it was the pep team who were the best in history
messi xavi and iniesta at there absolute best

essentially we fairly beat the best team in history,

    2. Victory over Barcelona was the sweetest.
      1. It was one of the Top 10 teams ever to play the game.
      2. The team that played against Barca in that game was very young (average age around 23 – 24 years.
      3. Watching 19 years old Wilshere run through their midfield was a real cake.
      4. I fell in love with Arsenal the very same day, before that i was just a follower after that i was a fan.

    3. Chelsea 3 – 5 Arsenal is the real deal.

I remember Walcott falling, wriggling, slipping and slicing through their defence to score a good solo efforts.
Also Robin Van ‘Pepper’ rounding their goalkeeper (then) before putting icing on the cake.

  4. Because of the looming crucial Bayern Munich game, I am of the favour the Boss starts the Gunners starting XI reserves team for this Watford game. It isn’t a risk. They can efficiently do the job successfully. My starts: Ospina. DebuchyRhino’ChambersGibbs. ArtetaFlamini. IwobiAdelaideOxlade. Giroud. Bench: MaceyWalcottBellerinDeAbreuMonrealRamseyOzil. The above names are my own starters and bench to beat Watford and collect all the 3 points that will be at stake at the Vicarage Road this Saturday evening’s. I don’t know what the Boss’ starts will be for this game. But even then, I don’t expect his starts to be that far away from mine. He may not want to start Iwobi in place of Ramsey and also not want to start Adelaide in place of Ozil. Iwobi & Adelaide who I have started should be abled to start and play full 90” if the Boss gives them a chance to prove what the stuff they are made of in this game. It’s left for them to proof what sturf they are, in this rare oportunity the Boss could present to them.

    1. I don’t know if your trolling, trying to be funny, or just plane ol stupid. To being with, starting Arteta and Flamini in the middle against any team when you have players that are fit (and pretty much on fire) is ridiculous. I want to see our youth players succeed like hector and coq, but there is a time for everything and it isn’t against watford; especially since we are 2nd in the table with 8th place sitting 3 points behind us.

  5. Not a single article about Ozil..Admin, did you forget it’s his bday today???

    (shouts in BubbaRay Dudlee’s voice)
    “Mathieu…BRING THE CAKE”
