Wenger assuring players and targets of Arsenal stay?

Arsene Wenger is claimed to have started telling people that he is remaining in charge of Arsenal for the coming campaign.

The Gunners manager is out of contract this summer and has so far failed to confirm whether he would be extending his time with the club.

There has been a growing number of protests against a new contract for Wenger, with #WengerOut trending on social media like never before. Arsenal’s 10-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich is used as the impetus for the rapid rise in protestations, and our side has since dropped right out of the title race, and are now in danger of missing out on the top four also.

Despite the calls for him to leave the club, he looks ever-likely to extend his current contract, and he has reportedly began working on preparations for the new season, and is said to have begun to tell of his future.

Wenger is claimed to have informed Sead Kolasinac that he will be staying, as to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with the defender, and is also said to be informing Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain that he will be staying in order to tie the pair to new deals also.

Kolasinac was claimed to have agreed to join the club at the end of his contract with Schalke, and is believed to be set to usurp both Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal for a first-team role next term.

Interestingly he has played as a left midfielder as well in the centre of defence, and could well relish a role in the 3-4-2-1 formation which Wenger tried out on Monday night against Middlesbrough.

Do we believe that Wenger has made his decision, and is just awaiting the right time to announce it? Is there still a chance he could leave?

  1. OT: Tonight two presumable contenders for the Arsenal managerial Job face-off

    .
On one side THOMAS TUNCHEL of Borussia Dortmund
On the other side LEONARDO JARDIM of Monaco

    .
Would Love Monaco to win tonight……what’s your pick?

  2. The Discontent would continue…….Wenger would be making a mistake putting pen to paper

    .
And what makes these players think we care bout em if they decide to sign because of wenger?

    .
There are thousands of players out ere waiting to be picked by a good manager!
    .
What’s good for wenger may not be what’s good for another manager and vice versa

    .
Just Like Kante wasn’t good enough for Wenger!….

  3. He is staying whether we like it or now
Allegri or any other manager is just a fantasy
    It won’t happen

We just have to accept our collective Purgatory or Hell for another couple of years at least

  4. What and who made this claim?

    I claim BS.
Wenger stalling on telling all he will leave while Allegri finishes his champions league exploits with Juve.

    I can dream can’t I!!!!!??????

    1. If only you were right mate, would love it if you were. Another manager missed out on because Wenger is scared of life without Arsenal and no one else will take him.

  5. I sadly think its all pretty much done and dusted that le fraud will be staying for at least another 2 years and I am gutted and frustrated. Whether you’re Wenger in or Wenger out does anyone honestly believe he has done enough to warrant a new contract, because I really don’t. I didn’t want him sacked, I wanted him to see out his contract and go as a legend, applauded by everyone and welcomed back with open arms whenever he came to town. Now because of his arrogance I want him sacked and I believe after the next two years he’ll have a rough time of it. Should have got out why you could le fraud.

  6. That’s interesting that Wenger is telling/tricking players that he is staying, which is unlike Wenger to show his hand instead of his poker face, but wait, didn’t the Arsenal Board recently make a statement about waiting until the end of the season before they sit down for talks with Wenger?
Didn’t Mr chips also state that the Board would take into consideration the minor/individuals of the fans base who were protesting and that they will do what’s best for the clubs interest and hope to come to a mutual agreement with Mr Wenger.
The question is, will the Board stick to their word and wait until the end of season before they announce anything or was all that waffle nothing more than sugar coated bull? to appease the protesters?

Time will tell and if nothing is announced before the season ends then I reckon that there’s still a good chance of Wenger getting the boot, Especially if we finish empty handed with no European football for next season.
Wenger is a desperate man, he even stated that he can change lol?
He wants to stay but if the fans and the results keep going against him then his Forked as far as I’m concerned.

  7. It’s only mediocre players that will be willing to sign contract and contract extension only if Mr. Wenger stays.
When Mr. Wenger goes mediocrity will never play for Arsenal again.

    1. If we lose out on Allegri, I think Enrique will be a nice sign. Three goals down and he is still motivating his boys. Three goals down Mr. Wenger will be struggling with his zip and tears in his eyes.

  8. Probably so why not announce it then?
I’m still clinging to my conspiracy theory,(made up by myself) that allegri is coming.
Juve being in the CL still has led to no announcement yet rightly so.
Gut feeling is we’ll have a RM v Juve final.
If Wenger announces he’s staying before this then this proves what a di*k head I am lol
    #deeamingandlivinginhope

  9. In terms of Wenger planning to sell current players a new manager would trust wenger on this.
For new proposed signings there is nothing stopping wenget and allegri,(or whoever) speaking/consultibg regularly.
The only people that need to know are the 2 managers and 2 boards of directorship.

  10. Can you imagine we got allegri and he persuaded either of his two cbs to come to arsenal.
Their coaching for the likes of holding would be immense.

  11. Shows how an hypocrite wenger is!! Judge me at the end of the season, i will decide what is best for the club, his actions hve shown he doesn’t give a damn about arsenal

  12. Every Article I have read about Wenger and Arsenal bringing new Players in has the word CHEAP in it. Wenger will change a few players but don’t expect Top Class Players they will be CHEAP.
Wengers aim is to spend as little as possible and get his business model of top 4 Premiership and last 16 Champions League back on track and that’s all. The Board and the share holders will be Happy BIG Dividends all round. As long as Wenger and the Present Board are in charge Arsenal will not be able to Compete with Clubs like Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and the top teams in Europe. So get used to it we Support an also ran Team. WENGER AND THE BOARD OUT.

  13. If were a younger man I’d just disappear for a few years and follow rugby or something and wait till the Wenger nightmare was over. Trouble is I’m into my early sixties and haven’t really got the time or the inclination to do that. I want this horror show to end now and for Arsenal to return to the top of English football and the European elite within 2 or 3 years max

  14. I’m planning on ignoring Arsenal as long as Le Fraud is in charge.

I’m hoping Dagnote will buy out Kroenke in 2020.

  15. @frank.
    I hear you.
Early 60s? Hmm keep taking half an aspirin a day,
That should keep the Wenger stress away!
