There is still a lot of time for Arsene Wenger to add more players to the Arsenal squad, with well over a month of the summer transfer window still left to run, but with Granit Xhaka and the young defender Rob Holding the only new players available to the Gunners and just three weeks to go before the Premier League kicks off, we Arsenal fans would like the manager to make things happen sooner rather than later.
I understand that Wenger is very careful about only signing what he sees as the right sort of player and those that will fit in well and add something to what the squad already has. Just the other day he spoke about Granit Xhaka and suggested that he did not need any more players in midfield, so that does throw into some doubt the Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with the Barcelona and Turkey star Arda Turan.
According to The Sun, however, Wenger is being urged by our star forward Alexis Sanchez to take the plunge for Turan, a player he knows well after coming up against him many times when the Turk was starring for Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Will this advice from the Chilean have any effect on the boss? Maybe, especially with Alexis said to be still considering his future at the club and whether to sign a contract extension. Turan does also fit the mould of the typical Arsenal player and could be seen as a wide forward as much as a midfielder and would apparently cost only around £20 million..

Wenger and Gazidis are cut from the same cloth so they won’t be signing top quality players whether it’s Turan,Higuain or whoever else let’s just accept our fate will be in the hands or should I say feet of the likes of Walcott,OX,Wilshere the non performing,injury prone,over rated and overpaid english core

Add draxler higuain and laporte or koulibaly
Cant withstand another year of embarassment.
As things stand right now this transfer window is so underwhelming whereby even last season’s summer window where we only signed Petr Cech was better,I know people will mention Xhaka but in all honesty we need more than that but unfortunately Wenger is our manager and we know he won’t buy the quality we need!

Akpom should not be considered as to be close as to be making a first team breakthrough.

Regarding transfers:
“We have already spent big. Until now, nobody has spent more on a transfer than we have in this country.( Really? ? )
“Even if Pogba might fly from Italy to England today, I don’t know… Overall we have made a big investment already but we are active.” ( ? The old man’s tripping! ? maybe he values Pogba at £30 million? ?)
Wenger was asked about specific transfer targets in Mauro Icardi, Alexandre Lacazette and Arda Turan but remained tight-lipped on his plans.
He added: “I wouldn’t like to come out on names because if you don’t get them afterwards, people ask why.
( Oh, but its okay for you to comes out with names afterwards… like Errrr… ” I nearly signed him” ? ?)
He added again?: “We are active, very active every day and it’s not over. Today we are on July 22 and the transfer market finishes on August 31”
And some more ?: “You know that a lot happens in the last week, so it’s a long time to go, but we are active and we are working.”
Yawn ? .. He also said the same ? last year, just like ever other ?ing year… He also said that he will spend Big on the right player!… ? I guess we all know that wenger will end up signing one or two ‘LEFT” players on the last day of the transfer window… Because there wasn’t any RIGHT one’s ?

One thing Arsenal don’t have to worry about is season ticket sales, they have a waiting running into the tens of thousands.
£20m is a bargain for a player of his quality but please sign a striker this is a mess
